I think this window would look absolutely perfect with some stained glass in it, don't you? Well the shop owners at Muse’s Mug Coffee Shop think so too!
I went out of my comfort zone today and I'm so excited to have a retail spot out in the world for my art! A few pieces of Leaning Tree can now be found at Muses Mug! 🥰

I spent the last couple days getting the workshop back in order. After focusing on shows the last few months, it was looking pretty chaotic in here!

Now that order is restored, I'm feeling so inspired. We had a rough storm roll through the other day and it left behind such a beautiful rainbow. Since then, I've caught myself daydreaming and looking at all the colors on my glass rack. My soul craves rainbows and sunshine! Get ready because it's about to get really colorful in here! 🌈

Man, yesterday was a scorcher! I want to thank everyone who braved the heat to come out and enjoy the festival.
James and I are beat! Instead of our usual post show night out routine, we came home, took a really long shower and ordered a pizza. Sometimes a night in is what's needed. ☺️

Now that summer is in full swing, we'll be taking some time off from shows. Don't worry, I'm still making art and you can order from me anytime, you just won't be spotting us in the wild until September. ♥️

With the last rays of today's sunlight fading, my dragons are ready to take flight!

I am really in love with these color combinations. I have to say that the green is my favorite, but that blue is really beautiful too. The red though, it's so striking!!

I can't believe we're already one day away from my last festival until fall!!

Foiled and ready for solder! Now the pile of puzzle pieces I shared the other day make sense. ☺️

This will be my task tonight and they'll be ready to go Friday; just in time for the Cleveland Honeybee Festival this Saturday! I cannot wait!

Is there anything else you'd like to see on festival day? I'm going to try to squeeze in even more bees Friday. It'll be just under the wire, but I think I can get it done 💪🏻

✨Behind the scenes✨
Here's a little progress picture of tonight's work! ☺️

I've finished grinding these pieces and now they've had their little bath. After the glass is ground it's really important that they're clean so the copper foil tape can stick properly. The glass dust is like a fine sand; it washes off easily but it's really important that you don't let it go down the drain. Otherwise, you're going to have to call the plumber and who wants to pay that bill?! 😂

These pieces will dry overnight and I'll foil them tomorrow evening. My neighbor brought over dinner so that's my sign to stop for the night! BBQ and grilled corn! 😋

A shot taken at my last festival! This sunflower was really something else. I finished it right along with the butterflies, so the sun was long gone by the time I finished polishing it to that perfect shine. It was a cloudy morning, but I'm so glad I was able to get a picture before she left!

That yellow glass is really something. I've been holding on to it forever and finally found the perfect piece to use it on. I had just enough! It was an old piece that my research led me to discover was discontinued in the 80s. What's that mean? Well, that's all I'll ever have of it! I have some more glass in that shade, but the one with that lovely texture was one of a kind. Bummer, but that made this one just that much more special.

I'm tempted to make another and play around with the colors a bit. What do you think?

I am so excited to be part of the 2nd annual Cleveland Honeybee Festival next weekend!! Cleveland is a bee city and it's about time we celebrate it!
Join me in the heart of downtown around Johnston park for a fun day filled with bee education, and even the master gardeners will be there.
Of course, I'll be there with all your favorites, as well as lots of bees and pollinator themed artwork. This will be your last chance to see me until fall! We learned the hard way last year that we don't mix well with the Tennessee heat.

It's going to bee a great day!
