The National Fraternal Order of Police regrets to report that as of midnight on 31 July, there have been 198 officers shot in the line of duty in 2025. Of those officers shot, 26 of them were killed.

I began my career in law enforcement as a part-time deputy sheriff with the Geauga County Sheriff's Dept. I began my work as a patrol officer with the City of East Cleveland Police Dept on July 1, 1976. I left East Cleveland P.D. in November, 1982. In December, 1982 I began 6 months of police work with the City of Port Aransas, Texas Police Dept. I left there in May, 1983. In late 1993, I began my career as an Ohio Licensed Private Investigator. In late 2025 my private investigation firm will be 32 years old. I have no plans to retire.
