Cowboy Cookies😍 OMG DON'T LOSE IT
INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup butter
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup packed brown sugar
Cream together and add 2 eggs.
Add: 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 2 cups flour and 2 Cups oatmeal.
After all is blended add 2 Cups of chocolate chips & walnuts to taste.

Having a body of water on our ranch is so nice. We love the wild life it draws to the ranch. With that being said….Look out for the bugs. Trevor just told me “I will never again complain about wind! (There can be a lot of wind) Wind keeps bugs at bay.” However, there are days bug spray is needed. So welcome Gigi’s Bug Spray.

Small spray bottle
Add to spray bottle
1/2 teaspoon Eucalyptus essential Oil
1/2 teaspoon Lavender essential Oil
1/2 teaspoon Peppermint essential Oil
Add tap water to fill.

Shake well prior to use. I am told it works well.

Meet Arlo. Here he was getting his feet trimmed. He is in the process of learning to trust again and he simply does not trust having his feet handled yet. So in order to make sure he stay’s sound he a little calming paste. With lots of patience our farrier was able to get his feed in the front trimmed.

We haven’t posted in a while. Over the last year plans were made and changed as God once again put us on a different path. I have learned in working with Leanne Oliver owner of Rivers Edge Equestrian that I have passion for rescuing and rehabing horses. She is an amazing instructor, mentor and friend. So this spring we really got busy working on putting in small pastures for horses, a mustang pen (you know…just in case) and a quarantine pen. I have gone from 1 horse to 3 horses and a pony. I am so excited to know that we will have them on the ranch within the next couple weeks. Stay tuned as our dreams start becoming a reality.

Raising chickens has been a new experience. We bought these from Murdock’s at about 1 week of age. They are now about 2 months old. Ron and Trevor built me an awesome chicken run at our home in Clifton and will work on another at the Ranch in the upcoming future.
