Spraying the cricket you can see may handle that one insect. It doesn't change the route it used or the conditions around that room. Field and house crickets can be drawn toward exterior lights, while camel crickets favor cool, damp, dark shelter.
That's why the chirping can return after the room goes quiet. The next cricket may be following the same route into the same favorable conditions.
