🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: Michael Elliott! 🌟

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on a familiar face who has been an important part of the MARCO team for 16 years! 👏

Meet our Director of Sales & Procurement — although, as he says, “We aren’t big on titles because we wear a lot of different hats!” 🎩

What does he enjoy most about his role? Every day is different, bringing new challenges and opportunities. From supply chain and procurement to sales, marketing, and R&D, he gets to work with great people across many areas of the business.

💬 “We have a family-type culture at MARCO and awesome co-workers. Everyone is working together to provide a quality product and great service.”

One thing most people may not realize is just how much planning goes into managing supply chain and risk. It can take 8–9 months to fully charge the system, while spring-season inventory can turn over in about 8 weeks!

🌾 A little more about him:
📍 Originally from a farm in Chatsworth, IL, he has called Gibson City home for most of his adult life.

❤️ He’s been married to Kim for almost 27 years and is the proud dad of three boys — Cade, Austin, and Brayden. The whole family is made up of sports nuts!

🐶 Their dog, Beau, is also part of the family — and apparently, Beau ranks higher in the household than he does! 😂

⚾ Outside of work, he enjoys following his boys’ sports, watching his youngest play college baseball at Illinois Wesleyan University, getting back into golf, watching all things sports, and doing a little pheasant hunting.

🍂 Favorite season: Fall — cooler temperatures, beautiful fall colors, and harvest season make it hard to beat!

🏔️ Bucket list: White-water rafting in Colorado.

👴 Someone he’d love to meet: His grandfather, who passed away before he had the opportunity to meet him. He’d love the chance to learn more about him and introduce him to his three boys.

🤝 When asked what being part of the MARCO team means to him, he summed it up perfectly:

“We are a close-knit group and work hard toward a common goal. At the same time, we can have a lot of fun and joke with each other too.”

After 16 years, it’s clear that the people and culture are a big part of what makes MARCO special. We’re grateful to have him on the team!

🎉 Happy 19th Work Anniversary, Bryan Fogler! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating 19 years of service at Marco NPK for Bryan Fogler!

Primarily, you’ll find Bryan down at the mixer, where he’s our mix master. But Bryan doesn’t stop there—he’s always willing to pitch in and help out a little bit of everywhere around the plant. His hard work, flexibility, and willingness to lend a hand are truly appreciated!

Please join us in wishing Bryan a very happy 19th anniversary and thanking him for 19 years of dedication to Marco!

Help us celebrate 5 years of Andy Dunham being part of the Marco NPK team! We’re thankful he shows up day after day with a positive, can-do attitude and always gets the job done. 💪

You’ll usually find this little guy in the loader tractor, loading potash, or up on the wall loading trucks. 🚜

Andy, we appreciate your 5 years of hard work and dedication to Marco NPK! And since you spend plenty of rainy days at the plant, we wanted to make sure you’re prepared to stay afloat! 🌧️🛟😎

🚛 Word on the street is… it’s Truck Driver Appreciation Week! 🚛

These two keep the wheels turning day in and day out, and somehow manage to keep a smile on their faces while doing it! We’re so glad to have them as part of the Marco NPK team!

We’re also incredibly thankful for all the truck drivers who visit our facility day after day, helping move and distribute our products to customers far and wide. Your hard work, long hours, and dedication keep agriculture moving.

🌽 Harvest is Here — and Fall Fertility Planning is Next!
Labor Day is behind us, harvest is getting underway across many areas of the state, and before we know it, fall fertilizer season will be here.
As growers make careful decisions on 2027 crop inputs, one thing remains a top priority: maximizing ROI. 💰🌱
Phosphorus will undoubtedly be part of the conversation. One way to help maximize a plant’s ability to find and utilize fall-applied P is to establish a strong root system early in the season.
That’s where early-season banded or in-furrow N, P, K and Zn can make a difference.
📌 At-planting banded NutriStart or in-furrow QuickGrow applications can help promote greater early root mass. A stronger root system gives plants a better foundation to seek out and access nutrients throughout the growing season — helping support efficient nutrient uptake when it matters most.
As you plan for fall fertility and the 2027 crop, don’t just think about what you’re putting in the soil — think about how you’re setting the plant up to find it.

🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: MARK HOWARD 🌟

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Mark Howard, a valued member of the Marco team since April 2016!

Mark works in Sales & Marketing, and if you ask him what a typical day looks like, his answer says it all: “Every day is different!” From product trials and developing product guides to updating the website, making dealer calls, connecting with growers, and helping grow the business, Mark keeps busy!

💬 What does Mark enjoy most about his job?
“The people I get to work with…the Marco team, our customers, growers, and industry partners.”

One of Mark’s favorite things about working for a locally owned, independent company is the ability to make quick decisions and implement products and programs that create a win-win for our customers and their growers.

📍 Hometown: Delavan, Illinois
❤️ Family: Mark married Kim Rademaker Howard on August 7, 1987.
Together they have two boys:
Brandon and his wife Taylor - They have 2 girls - Emma and Annie.
Blake & Joshua with their two bulldogs, Teddie and Blue!
🐾 Pets: No pets of his own—unfortunately!
⛳ Outside of work: Golfing and spending time with his granddaughters
✈️ Bucket list: More travel, with a European river cruise at the top of the list

🚲 Can't live without: His E-Bike
💪 Superpower of choice: Flight. “No close second.”

If Mark won the lottery, he’d donate 10% to various philanthropic causes, take care of family, buy a beach house, and add some classic muscle cars to the collection. Sounds like a pretty good plan to us! 😎

One of Mark’s favorite memories at Marco comes from his early years with the company, when team brainstorming sessions led to the development of innovative products like QuickGrow LTE brands, AMS-Extra, Nitro “K” Complete, and more.

When asked who he’d most like to meet, living or dead, Mark chose his great grandparents—a great reminder that family is at the heart of so much of what matters to him.

Mark, thank you for 10+ years of dedication, teamwork, and passion for Marco, our customers, and the agriculture industry. We’re lucky to have you on the team!

🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: BRANDON HOWARD 🌟

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Brandon Howard, our Director of Sales and Marketing, who has been part of the Marco NPK family for just over 2 years! 🌾

Brandon’s typical day is spent visiting with current and potential customers, building relationships, and discovering opportunities to meet their AMS Extra and liquid fertility needs. But for Brandon, the best part of the job isn’t just the business—it’s the people.

“I love creating relationships with both customers and suppliers. I love the people in the Ag community.”

And that appreciation extends to his coworkers. Brandon says he considers himself fortunate to work with—and for—some truly high-quality people.

One unique part of Brandon’s job is getting to work alongside his father, Mark. The two share a couple of accounts, giving Brandon the opportunity to make joint sales calls with his dad over the past couple of years. How cool is that?

When asked what he enjoys most about being part of the Marco NPK team, Brandon summed it up perfectly:

“The camaraderie… from movie quotes in the office to friendly bantering outside, there aren’t many days where I don’t get to laugh at least once. Being part of a team like that is a blast.”
