What’s the difference between a bridal stylist and a bridal dresser?

This is one of my most frequently asked questions.

Often, these terms are used interchangeably, but each service is unique.

A bridal stylist assists clients in selecting their wedding wardrobe. They often shop with their clients, help to curate their look and attend their fittings to ensure a perfect fit. They can also assist in creating custom designs that reflect the overall feel of the wedding.

A bridal dresser is present on the wedding day/weekend to ensure that the garments are all steamed and pressed. They assist the couple and bridal party in dressing, styling the portraits, bustling the gown, and taking care of fashion emergencies.
In our case, our dressers attend our client’s third and final fittings.

Bridal stylists may also provide dressing services and dressing service can also be provided when fashion selection did not take place.

There have been a lot of conversations lately about what luxury means.

To us, luxury is quiet. It is about having nothing pulling you out of the moment.

Today, turns 22!

TWD is truly my third child. I opened the store in 2004 when Marky was 6 months old and Lindsay was 3.

The past 22 years have been filled with twists and turns and ups and downs. It has allowed me to meet so many incredible people and has allowed me to create life-long friendships. And out of TWD grew 2 other businesses - and Beth Chapman Consulting ( | )

I am so thankful for my TWD team that makes the business what it is - and all of the incredible teammates that came before this amazing crew. Without all of them. None of this would be possible !

I am also endlessly grateful for my family, who are my biggest supporters. My parents (all of them!), my brother and sister in law, my nieces, and my kids - and of course (!) my husband, have all been with me and supporting me from Day 1. I could not have accomplished any of this without their endless support (and understanding).

Cheers to 22! I wish I could say I was feeling 22 🤣, but as always TWD will be my muse.

“I could NOT have gotten married without Beth and her team by my side! Seriously, my mom and I would’ve had to go naked. They were such a joy from start to finish- all you want are these ladies with you on your big day.

You may think you don’t need styling like my mom and I thought, and thank GOODNESS we listened to our planners ( Victoria Dubin events) who insisted! Beth and her team were a NECESSITY.

They steamed, smiled, fixed our gowns and cinched them in, snatched, perfected, ironed, were the final ones to walk with me before the aisle and fixed a giant rip in my dress seamlessly after dancing too much.
