If you’re considering adoption—or recently finalized—the federal adoption tax credit can help offset costs:

Up to $17,280 (2025 adoptions)
Up to $17,670 (2026 adoptions)

🔄 Now partially refundable—meaning eligible families may receive up to $5,000–$5,120 back as a refund.

New countries have been added to the travel ban affecting a total of 75 countries. That means children who have been adopted from abroad are not able to come home to the United States.

What can you do right now?

Contact your congressional representative. All you need to do is enter your street address and ZIP code (no P.O. boxes, please), and the message will be sent directly to your federal lawmakers:

The world’s “oldest baby” has been born from a human embryo that was frozen more than three decades ago.

Thaddeus Daniel Pierce arrived into the world on July 26 to Lindsey and Tim Pierce, of Ohio, who adopted his embryo last year. The embryo had been frozen in 1994 — before either parent had started primary school

Children born exposed to methamphetamines, fentanyl, poly-substance (two or more illegal substances or the presence of one illegal substance with THC and/or alcohol) or diagnosed with fetal alcohol syndrome must be taken into state custody, and an abuse/neglect petition must be filed. Children will also be put on a 72-hour hold to determine whether they will go back home with their parents or remain in state custody.
