It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Remy. He was a 12-year veteran of the w**e business. His first day, he showed up as a skinny stray kitten with an impossibly long tail, big paws and an interest in w**ery greeting. He was generously friendly with visitors, especially children whom he made allowances for when their affection was less than subdued.

During our storied w**ery move to the newly constructed Owl Creek eight years ago, Remy was the last to leave the old w**ery and seemed visibly relieved that all his stuff had gone to the new place. Christy and Beatrix spent an afternoon coaxing him out from under the old decks. He embraced the new place and made it home for all of us.

Remy loved to lounge on the decks and make new friends. During the quieter times, he was a presence and a companion as we created the products you all enjoy. We still feel he's still around in spirit. Remy, you are deeply missed. ❤️

NEWSFLASH! (not really)

Since the subject keeps coming up, we thought we’d take a moment to clarify: in 2018, Owl Creek changed location, NOT ownership. All we did was move the w**ery and stick it in our own backyard. Rest assured in the knowledge that we are still the exact same pains in the backside that have been serving the Shawnee Hills W**e Trail and surrounding areas since 2005.

Speaking of which, 11/1 will be our last 3-6pm music date for 2026. For the rest of the year we shift into our less-vitamin D hours, 2-5pm. 👍
