🚗🎒 Back to School… and One Step Closer to the Driver’s Seat!

Heading back to school this fall? If you or a student in your life already has a valid New York State learner permit, now is a great time to check another step off the road to getting licensed!

The Institute for Rural Vitality at SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech is offering a 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course on September 22, 2026. This course is open to learners of all ages with a valid NYS learner permit and is required before scheduling a New York State road test.

Our next cohort starts August 24 and meets Monday & Wednesday evenings from 6:00–8:00 PM, fully online.

Over the course of the program, you’ll work through the fundamentals of starting and growing a business, develop your business plan, and connect with the tools and resources available to entrepreneurs in our region.

And when the course is over, you won’t just have a plan—you’ll be better prepared to pursue funding opportunities, business competitions, and the next steps toward launching or growing your business.

Looking for an opportunity to lead dairy production operations? Join our team as a Dairy Processing Center Supervisor and help oversee the daily operations of our campus dairy processing facility.

In this role, you'll:
• Lead daily dairy processing operations
• Manage production scheduling and product distribution
• Maintain production and financial records using Centerpoint
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, NYS Agriculture & Markets, and state/federal regulations
• Support efficient, high-quality production to held feed our campus and community!
