People often cringe when they hear that I've had a 30+ year career as a nonprofit fundraising professional. Most people think of fundraising as 'begging' for charity. In fact, studies have shown that fundraising is one of the top 3 things people fear (up there with going to the dentist!), but I LOVE it! Helping people find the right fit for their philanthropy is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world!

I now have my own consulting business, A Fresh Perspective.
I impress upon my clients the importance of honest, sincere relationship building. Every relationship MUST be a WIN-WIN engagement ... good for the organization AND good for the donor! Think about it ... every good relationship is built on mutual respect and trust! If it's a one-way street (you donate ... good for us ... we'll come back for more soon), donors disengage. Thoughts?
