Here are the common mice in Spokane Washington.
1. House Mouse 2. Vole, aka the Meadow Mouse 3. Deer Mouse.
The House Mouse and the Deer Mouse are the two common home invaders.
Mice carry diseases, chew through walls, wires, and insulation. They can cause significant damage to a home and even destroy it by house fire, while chewing through wires in the attic or crawlspace.
The vole is the mouse that digs holes in your lawn and makes running tracks through it as well. The vole also eats the roots of trees and ornamental plants.

With the cold weather it's another spider seasons in Spokane. We are getting a lot of calls in regards to black widows and other spiders indoors.
Here are some of the common spiders we are seeing right now.

1. Cobweb Spider
2.Wolf Spider
3. Black Widow
4. Hobo Spider
5. Orb Weaver
6. Yellow Sac Spider

And one not in the video is the House Spider.

On another note the brown recluse is a southern spider that we don't have in Spokane. They need heat and humidity. The only cases reported for brown recluse are from shipping from states where they're located.
We have a lot of brown spiders that get confused for brown recluse. The brown recluse also has a fidel shape mark on its back. The hobo spider, the house spider, and the wolf are the spiders most likely to be misidentified as brown recluse.

The black widow is definitely the spider you don't want to see inside your home in Spokane Washington.

Spokane Washington.
The Stink Bug has returned to the siding of your homes as the temperature is below 50 degrees nightly. Just like its cousin the Western Conifer Seed Bug, the stink bug will gather on the siding in the sunshine looking for entry points into your home around the eaves soffits, windows, and doors. Make sure your screens are on and not damaged. The calking and cracks around your doors and windows are sealed and there are no holes in your eaves and soffits.
