Priam Vineyards is a 40-acre hilltop farm winery in Colchester, Connecticut—an easy destination from Hartford and the shoreline—where estate-grown wines, sweeping vineyard views, and a full calendar of events create a true New England experience. Founded in 1998 and opened in 2003, Priam became the first winery in New England to operate fully on solar power, reflecting a long-standing commitment t

o sustainability. Producing 13–15 handcrafted wines annually from grapes grown on-site, Priam focuses on varietals suited to the region, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Franc, Cayuga, and St. The vineyard’s gravelly soils, sloping terrain, and steady coastal breezes from the Salmon River Watershed provide ideal growing conditions. Guests come to relax on the hillside, enjoy live music, attend seasonal festivals, host weddings, and take in the atmosphere of a working vineyard designed for both casual visits and memorable experiences. Pet Policy

We welcome well-behaved, leashed dogs both indoors in the tasting room and throughout our outdoor spaces. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, pets must remain under control at all times, stay on a leash, and be comfortable in social, high-traffic environments. Dogs should never make other guests feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or uncertain. We reserve the right to ask that any pet be removed from the property if it becomes disruptive, aggressive, excessively vocal, or otherwise impacts the experience of other guests. Owners are responsible for their pets at all times, including supervision and cleanup. Service animals are always permitted in accordance with applicable laws.
