U.S. CATTLE REPORT 🐄📉 Kansas and Missouri Lead Cattle Inventory Declines in 2026 📉🐄

Cattle inventories declined in 2026, with the largest decreases reported in Kansas and Missouri, each down 100,000 head, followed by New Mexico at -90,000 head. Arizona and Wyoming each declined 60,000 head, while Iowa was down 50,000 head. Additional reductions included Louisiana (-40,000), Illinois (-30,000), North Carolina (-30,000), and Kentucky (-20,000). Montana, New York, and Oregon also each posted 20,000-head declines. In total, 23 states reported lower cattle inventories compared to the prior year.

We retired this 2010 KW W900 earlier in the year. This was our first fancy purchase back in the day and I am pretty sentimental about it but I am considering selling it.
