The Coldspring Volunteer Fire Department is honored to have been featured in a French firefighters' publication, sharing our department's story with readers across the world.

The article highlighted our volunteers, apparatus, wildfire capabilities, and the dedication of the men and women who proudly serve our community. It also reflected on the friendships and connections that make the fire service a truly international family.

While we may be a small volunteer department in East Texas, it is humbling to know that our story reached firefighters and fire service historians overseas.

Yesterday, the members of CVFD had the opportunity to spend time on the square, and we were overwhelmed by the generosity and support shown by our community.

To everyone who stopped by, made a donation, shared kind words, honked as they drove past, or simply took a moment to visit with us. Thank you! Your support means more than you know.

We are proud to serve a community that consistently shows up for one another. The generosity, kindness, and encouragement we received yesterday made us feel truly appreciated.

Okay… not really. We are still going to be in the fire truck. 😎🔥

The CVFD crew will be hanging out at the CABMA Car Show on May 30th and we want YOU to stop by and say hi! Come check out some amazing cars, meet your local firefighters, and help us prove that firefighters look cooler standing next to classic cars. 🚒🤝🏎️

🚒🎓 BIG congratulations are in order today! 🎓🚒

One of our very own CVFD members, Luke McClure, rolled through the Senior Parade with Coldspring High School today, and we could not be more proud!

From answering calls to crossing the finish line of high school, Luke continues to make our department proud every step of the way. We’re excited to see what the future holds for him and all of the amazing graduates from the Class of 2026!

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting others will never be forgotten.

At Coldspring Volunteer Fire Department, we are especially grateful for those who answered the call to serve both in our communities and on the battlefield. Because of their sacrifice, we are able to live, work, and raise our families in freedom.

As we spend time with loved ones this Memorial Day, let us also take a moment to reflect on the heroes who are no longer with us and the families who carry their memory every day.

We remember. We honor. We thank you. 🇺🇸

🚒🇺🇸 Thank You, War Rally! 🇺🇸🚒

The members of the Coldspring Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to the organizers of the War Rally for inviting us to be part of this incredible event and allowing us to help the day run smoothly.

We also want to give a huge thank you to all of the vendors and supporters who generously donated to our department. Your kindness, along with all the delicious food, snacks, and everything else were greatly appreciated! ❤️

We had an absolute blast and truly enjoyed meeting so many new friends throughout the day. The War Rally reminds us how blessed we are to serve such a supportive and generous community.

Today, we want to recognize all of the incredible moms, grandmothers, stepmoms, foster moms, and mother figures who fill our lives with love, strength, and compassion.

Whether you’re helping with homework, offering words of encouragement, cheering from the sidelines, or keeping your family safe and supported, your dedication does not go unnoticed.

To the mothers serving in the fire service and to the moms who support firefighters behind the scenes. Thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and endless love.

Tuesday Training Recap!!! 🔥

Last night’s training focused on the swim technique used to navigate through tight, obstructed spaces. Members practiced controlled, methodical movements designed to reduce the risk of getting caught on wires, debris, or other hazards. Emphasis was placed on situational awareness, maintaining contact with surroundings, and moving efficiently. It was a valuable session that reinforced safety, confidence, and proper technique in confined space conditions.
