We are so incredibly honored to share that Home Roots Companion & Home Care Services has been named a 2026 Community’s Choice Awards FINALIST for Best Assisted/Senior Living in Branch County!

This one means a lot.

Home Roots was built right here in our community with a simple belief: people deserve to be cared for with dignity, compassion, respect, and the ability to remain right where they want to be — home.

To know that the people in our community took the time to nominate and vote for Home Roots is something we don’t take lightly.

And while our name is on this plaque, this recognition belongs to our entire Home Roots family. To our caregivers who show up every day and pour their hearts into the people they care for, our office team who keeps all the moving pieces together, our clients and families who trust us with the people they love, and everyone who has supported Home Roots along the way, we thank you.

Seven years ago, Home Roots was an idea and a hope that we could do home care differently. Today, we get to serve dozens of families throughout our community with an incredible team beside us.

We had so much fun celebrating our caregivers last week. We had popcorn and dirty soda for them to stop and grab for a great midday treat. Our caregivers are the heartbeat of our agency and we are so appreciative of all of their great care and hard work.

What a fantastic addition to the park! Thank you to the city of Coldwater, and Coldwater Recreation Department for helping keep our community safe.

The City of Coldwater has installed a new publicly accessible automated external defibrillator (AED) near the tennis courts at Heritage Park.

The outdoor AED enclosure keeps the device protected from the elements while allowing it to remain accessible when park facilities and City offices are not staffed.

Residents are encouraged to become familiar with the locations of AEDs in the community and to call 911 immediately in the event of a medical emergency.
