CONGRATULATIONS MIKE FARMER!

Sheriff Hinkley is proud to welcome Michael Farmer to the Calhoun County team as our new Chief Deputy/Jail Administrator!

Michael brings more than 35 years of experience in law enforcement, having served with the Michigan Department of Corrections and Michigan State Police. His connection to Calhoun County runs deep, as he previously served as both a reserve and part-time deputy with the Marine Patrol Division.

In his role, Michael will oversee corrections, transportation, and court security, bringing his extensive expertise in training, certification, administration, and emergency management to these critical areas. With a proven ability to lead large teams and implement effective solutions, he is well-equipped to guide our operations into the future.

We are thrilled to have him back serving Calhoun County, and we look forward to the positive impact his experience and dedication will bring in the years to come!

We have had recent calls asking if we did security details such as driving a individual who is being threatened by an ex and is scared to drive to work, stores, church etc, we do offer protection that way until you are feeling safe to be in the community again... we offer hourly rates as well as day rates...the police can’t be with you 24-7, But We can and we will protect you the best way that we can in hopes to not get the police involved when they can be protecting others in the community. 517-462-6704
