The market had a softer tone this week as all this uncertainty comes out. Feeders were $5-15 lower as was the packer side. The demand was active on those 4-6 weights steers and heifers. Thanks again to all our producers and buyers. Also, a big shout to our employees working hard in this heat to keep the sale running smoothly.

Farmers and Ranchers get ready!

We had 1019 head with 150 cows and 869 calves and yearlings. The market was active and so was the demand on feeder steers and heifers. The market was steady on most classes from this previous week. The packer bulls were 6-8 higher as the packer cows were steady. The breds and pairs were $200 higher. Thank you again to all producers and buyers. We had a great sale this week as the market bounced back from last week. We had 1166 head with 250 cows and 916 calves and yearlings. Thank you to the 151 consignors and 69 buyers.

The demand was high on those feeder steers and heifers as were the bred cows and pairs that went back to the country. The feeder steers were $5-10 higher as the heifers were $20-30 higher. The packer cows and bulls were steady.

The market was a little softer on some classes of cattle and steady on the others. We had 220 cows and 1002 calves and yearlings with 170 consignors. I would to thank the Balch Ranch for the 118 head of steers and heifers. Thank you again to all our consignors for trusting us to market your cattle.

If you’re looking for some good young, long bred cows to go back the country. We will have some starting at 11:00 tomorrow. We are tagging on 800 this evening with 200 cows and 600 calves and yearlings.
