Join the Gemstone Honors Program for our annual Junior Colloquia, where our Class of 2018 Gemstone teams present their research and progress on their projects thus far!

Junior Colloquia 2016 will be held on Wednesday 11/16 and Thursday 11/17 from 6:30pm-9:00pm each night, in the Biosciences Research Building (BRB), Room 1101. The schedule of teams presentations are listed below.

This week team PHAGE is preparing for our first big presentation since we started doing research this semester. Next Wednesday. we will be presenting an overview of our current and future research at the Gemstone Junior Colloquia!

The past few weeks we had the pleasure of having Gemstone freshman sit in on meetings and learn about our project. We have received lots of advice from these freshman about our upcoming presentation, and we are excited to share with the rest of the Gemstone freshman class the current state of our project.

Team PHAGE is excited to announce that our mentor, Dr. Biswas, won mentor of the year award! The team celebrated today by getting pho and coffee. We are happy about our progress so far and can't wait to start lab work this summer and work more closely with our awesome mentor!

Team Phage is celebrating a successful thesis proposal presentation and looking to the future. The team is utilizing critcisms brought up by an expert in the field of bacteriophages and the Gemstone staff to improve their project. Thanks to the Gemstone staff and our mentor, Dr. Biswas for all of your help in Team Phage's project so far. We are excited to move forward and start lab work this summer!
