As a member of the Large Scale Biology team who successfully completed a Phase I clinical trial for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and later as part of the Caliber Biotherapeutics (currently the iBio facility) team who participated in the DARPA Blue Angel program for the H1N1 vaccine and successfully manufactured 10s of liters of the vaccine that was tested by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and proved to be efficacious in a ferret-challenge study am too surprised that big pharma's aren't paying more attention to this technology as an economical, fast and safe way to make vaccines for these types of pandemic events. We at MDx BioAnalytical Laboratory with decades of experience stand ready to assist with characterization , release and stability studies of these vaccines and therapeutic compounds to include glycan profiling, originally thought to be of concern for plant-made pharmaceuticals but later found not to be a problem.
