🔥 Employee Spotlight: James Hammond

A Memphis native and Mechanical Engineering graduate from Christian Brothers University, James has been with Ironsmith Fire since 2022, contributing to projects like St. Jude, Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, and Vanderbilt University.

His favorite project so far? Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, where complex design challenges and tight deadlines pushed him to grow as an engineer while working on one of Memphis' most iconic landmarks.

As a NICET Level II Design certified professional, James has experience designing wet, dry, pre-action, fire pumps, standpipes, ESFR, CMDA, residential, and many other specialized fire protection systems. He's also working toward earning his Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification later this year.

Outside the office, James enjoys cooking, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Life Saving Flavor Protection 🌶️

Put our very own Ironsmith Fire Hot Sauce to work with these four recipes:

1. Hot Work Wings
Ingredients: 2 lbs chicken wings · ½ cup ISF Hot Sauce · ¼ cup honey · 2 tbsp butter · 1 tsp garlic powder · salt + pepper
Steps:
1. Season wings, bake or air-fry at 400°F for 35–40 min until crispy.
2. Melt butter in a pan, stir in ISF Hot Sauce + honey, simmer 2 min.
3. Toss wings in the glaze. Fire watch optional.

2. Pipefitter's Pimento Cheese
Ingredients: 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar · 4 oz cream cheese (softened) · ⅓ cup mayo · ¼ cup diced pimentos · 2–3 tbsp ISF Hot Sauce · ½ tsp garlic powder
Steps:
1. Mix it all in a bowl until creamy but still chunky.
2. Chill 30 minutes so the flavors get acquainted.
3. Slather on Ritz crackers, top a burger, or stuff in jalapeños.

3. Foreman's Brisket Sliders
Ingredients: 1 lb chopped smoked brisket · ½ cup BBQ sauce · 3 tbsp ISF Hot Sauce · 12 Hawaiian rolls · pickle chips · sliced white onion
Steps:
1. Warm brisket in a pan, stir in BBQ + ISF Hot Sauce until coated.
2. Pile onto buns, top with pickles and onion.
3. Feed the crew before they riot.

4. Deluge Deviled Eggs
Ingredients: 6 hard-boiled eggs (halved) · 3 tbsp mayo · 1 tsp Dijon · 2 tbsp ISF Hot Sauce (plus extra to drizzle) · smoked paprika · chives or bacon bits
Steps:
1. Scoop yolks into a bowl, mash with mayo, Dijon, and ISF Hot Sauce.
2. Pipe or spoon filling back into the whites.
3. Top with paprika, chives or bacon, and a deluge of ISF Hot Sauce.
