Today is the day!!! Come and join us for our final celebration event of our department’s 100th anniversary!! Our community parade kicks off at 1:00 and starts at Railroad Ave. / Fuller Rd. We continue north on Fuller Rd. to Central Ave. Where we take a right g and head east on Central to Hudson Ave. At Hudson Ave., we turn right again and go down Hudson Ave. to Cherry St. and across the road into the parking lot of the German American Club, where the parade officially concludes. Detours and partial road closures will be in place, with an expected finish time around 2:00pm!

Had a great night at our annual Fire Prevention Week Open House!! Great to see so many of our community stop in to see what we are all about. A small extrication demonstration along with plenty of activities for all made it a great night!! I especially want to thank the Albany County Sheriff's Office- Fire Coordinator office for facilitating the Safe Child staff, who help make families safer across the region, and for the use of the Tactical Training Trailer. The kids, and parents, loved the smoke room and learned a lot about how to safely get away from a fire. Also Colonie Police Department Communications came down with their Mobile Command Post! Thanks to all those that support us in our 100th year!!
