Community solar projects help New York State meet its goal of 6,000 MW of Solar by 2025 and save subscribers an average of 10% on their utility bills. The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Act), signed into law in 2019, requires the state to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 40% by 2030 and commits to 100% zero-emission electricity by 2040. Community solar projects sell ene

rgy shares as subscriptions to local residents, businesses, and municipalities. This creates multiple benefits for the community including credit or tax benefits on subscribers' energy bills and support for the local economy. The energy is generated by solar panels at an off-site location, giving community members equal opportunity and access to clean energy even if they are unable to install solar panels on their own property. Residents would keep their National Grid or NYSEG service and would still receive one bill. This page was created by Sustainable PR on behalf of our client Cipriani Energy Group, so that local residents in Upstate New York can get more information about the status of proposed community solar projects in their Town/City/Village. Cipriani Energy Group is a New York energy firm that is affiliated with the Sol Real Group, an Italian company that has more than 12 years of experience successfully developing solar projects in Italy, Eastern Europe, Central and South America that delivered hundreds of megawatts in renewable energy on a commercial scale. The company is currently expanding operations in the United States with an office location in Colonie, New York, bringing their know-how, generating new business opportunities and contributing to the environment through the generation of clean renewable energy. Cipriani is sourcing land for community solar projects in New York State and developing projects directly for commercial and industrial businesses.

"As consumers fret over rising energy costs and the various roadblocks to residential solar, a clear solution exists: community solar.

The U.S. Department of Energy affirms that community solar can save consumers money, and a marked difference between community solar and residential solar is that community solar programs come with no upfront cost. Community solar subscribers do not pay for panels, let alone their installation or maintenance."

What would you say if I told you that you could slash ten percent off your monthly energy bill at no upfront cost? What if I said you could do so by using solar energy, but that you don't have to install a single solar panel on your home or apartment building?
