Please help CROWN THE WORLD’S WORST IDEA!

Before diving into curriculum work, I had some team-building fun with the amazing Laguna Pueblo Head Start team! ❤️

We kicked things off with the “World’s Worst Idea” Mystery Bag Challenge. Everyone received the same types of random items with one mission:

👉 Create something people DEFINITELY need—and convince us it belongs in their lives! 😂

The creativity, teamwork, and ridiculousness did NOT disappoint!

🛒 NOW YOU GET TO BE THE CUSTOMERS!

📸 Look through the creation and comment the PHOTO/CREATION NUMBER you’d actually buy! Bonus points if you tell us how much you’d pay. 😂💰

The invention with the most customers will be crowned our WORLD’S WORST IDEA CHAMPION! 👑🏆

❤️ Huge shoutout to the Laguna Pueblo Head Start team for jumping into the fun and getting those creative juices flowing before our curriculum work!

Play isn’t just for children. It’s how adults reconnect with joy, creativity, and the parts of themselves that make life feel fully alive.

It's time to unleash joy and forge unbreakable bonds with a beach ball! I'm absolutely thrilled to present an empowering session at the Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference.

Can't make it in person? Don't worry, my session will also be available as a virtual presentation through the conference.

✨ Hey early childhood friends… this one’s for YOU! ✨

If you’re an educator, caregiver, or someone who just loves supporting our youngest learners—you do not want to miss this 💕

I’m so excited to be presenting at the Early Childhood Education Summit at CSU Pueblo on May 1st, alongside an incredible group of humans doing powerful work in this field.

This isn’t just a conference—it’s a space to grow, recharge, connect, and be reminded why this work matters so much. 🌱✨

Come laugh, learn, and leave feeling inspired (and maybe a little re-energized too 😉).

Let’s keep showing up for our kids—and for each other. 💫

Stay “Sassy” 💖

If you're involved in early childhood education, I want you to know how much I appreciate you.

Who could have imagined that this brown-eyed girl would don a graduation cap four more times and earn a doctorate? The journey began in preschool, where the guidance and support I received laid the foundation for my growth. Head Start is a remarkable program that nurtures not just children, but entire families, fostering their development together.

So, I encourage you to:
Act as if what you do makes a difference.
Because it truly does. ♥️

What a joy it was to spend time with the Ute Mountain Ute Child Development Center this August! 💛 Building strong, supportive relationships among staff is the heart of helping children grow—and the UMU CDC team shines so brightly in this work. Truly such an amazing program and an even more amazing group of people! 🌟
