FYI: Today is NOT "Thank a Veteran Day" ... Today is reserved solely for our FALLEN HEROES, NOT ALL who served.

As Veterans, when someone THANKS us on Memorial Day, it indicates that they have forgotten The True Meaning of Memorial Day. It's not a good feeling.

🇺🇸 We remember! On 7 December 1941 our American service members endured an unimaginable hell on earth and unholy destruction. They must have been scared to death but they saddled up anyway — All for the future of America and the enduring freedom of her citizens. 🇺🇸

Please remember The True Meaning of Memorial Day 🇺🇸

❗️❗️The PURPOSE of Memorial Day is remembering our service members who died in service to our country. Using the occasion to host a SALE is inappropriate!!! Please help this message go viral by SHARING.

We need to get the word out to corporate America and let them know that these sales (and other inappropriate activities on this observance) are abhorrent to the many friends and family who have lost a loved one to war.

If anyone sees a company (and there are probably thousands) hosting a "Memorial Day" sale, please tag their name in the comments below.

We need to get the word out about The True Meaning of Memorial Day!

Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans!!

Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day is observed each year on March 29 or March 30, depending on which state you’re celebrating.

The first Vietnam Veterans Day, declared by declared by President Richard Nixon in 1974, coincided with the one-year anniversary of the withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from Vietnam on March 29, 1973.

Today, we recognize Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day on March 30 as designated by a U.S. Senate resolution and a 2012 proclamation by President Barack Obama.
