Apparently, Savvion has a very relaxed policy on sleeping under your desk during business hours.

To be fair, Penny takes her role as Chief Morale Officer very seriously.
Her responsibilities include:

🐾 Supervising all activity from beneath my desk
🐾 Providing emotional support during questionable business decisions
🐾 Enforcing mandatory snack breaks
🐾 Greeting visitors with excessive enthusiasm
🐾 Sleeping soundly while the rest of us actually work

Benefits of a dog-friendly office? Sometimes your favorite coworker is literally at your feet. ❤️

And yes… she has somehow managed to claim the mat as her official workstation.

Your employees do not stop being parents when they clock in.

Kids get sick.

Daycare closes.

Schools schedule things at 2:15 on a Wednesday like every adult in America is apparently available at 2:15 on a Wednesday.

Life happens.

Supporting working parents does not mean businesses abandon structure, accountability or performance expectations.

Actually, good HR usually means the opposite.

Clear expectations.
Consistent policies.
Managers who understand the rules.
Thoughtful flexibility where the job allows it.
Employees who know what resources and leave options are available.
A workplace where people can have honest conversations before small problems become big ones.

There is a way to take care of your people and take care of your business.
