Feeling so grateful… Thank you to Kelly Hayes and the The Gazette for seeing what Carly and I have always felt — that there’s something pretty special about these conversations we get to have on Springs and Things! We love this town and always feel the love coming back!

Here’s the article if you want to check it out!

The podcast covers a wide range of topics. The pair have taste tested at Bristol Brewing Company and explored the rumors of Ivywild School being haunted. They've learned about the best brunch spots in town from local foodie Meagan Thomas. They've talked about the town's weirdest historic law with ex...

George Foreman was the very first celebrity I ever interviewed—back when I was still a student at Rice. That conversation helped me get my foot in the door in the news biz, and I’ll never forget how kind and generous he was with his time. A true champ in and out of the ring—and he raised some pretty incredible kids, too.

George Foreman, the two-time world heavyweight boxing champion and Olympic gold medalist whose legendary rivalry with Muhammad Ali culminated in the famous ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ title bout, died Friday according to a verified social media account dedicated to Foreman. He was 76.

In our latest episode of Springs and Things, we sit down for a Courageous Conversation with Brooke Mikulas, the co-founder of Kinship Landing & Sonderwin! Brooke opens up about the power of vulnerability, the importance of hard conversations, and how stepping into discomfort can lead to real growth.

We talk about the moments that challenge us, the lessons we learn, and why having these conversations matters now more than ever.

Be sure to stick around for our Picks of the Week because my girl Dianne Derby is doing something pretty darn cool with this weekend!

What a whirlwind of an episode! Carly and I dove headfirst into the fascinating world of play, proving once again that being an adult doesn’t mean leaving fun behind.

From New Year’s nostalgia (yes, we’re all still recovering from realizing Y2K was 25 years ago) to picking playful activities in the Springs, this episode served up a delightful buffet of inspiration.

Special guest Acey Holmes, founder of BoredLess and the queen of adult play, schooled us on how play isn’t just fun—it’s a full-on brain workout, complete with dopamine, serotonin, and even a sprinkle of neuroplasticity magic.

This episode is your ultimate guide to turning 2025 into the year of play in Colorado Springs. So channel your inner kid, and get ready to embrace all the fun your city has to offer. Cheers to a playful new year!

In this episode of Springs and Things, we’re ditching the meticulously planned resolutions and embracing a wing-it approach to kicking off 2025 with a Springs-centric twist!

Join us for a conversation about everything from geocaching and paddleboarding to detoxifying their homes and supporting local farmers markets.

You’ll laugh, you’ll relate, and you might even find inspiration for your own Colorado Springs bucket list (somehow Carly, the COS native, has never been to the Labor Day Liftoff)

Whether you’re into home organization, going clean (what does that even mean?), or just want fresh ideas for local adventures, this episode has something for everyone.

Kick off 2025 with a fresh perspective, a little sass, and a whole lot of Colorado Springs love!

Another fun episode! I think Colorado Springs is so so lucky to have Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics back home! His work is absolutely made for our gorgeous backdrop, and I cannot wait to see what he creates next! If you haven't been, you must check out his first indoor exhibition at the Ent Center for the Arts!

Also, I'm on a theater kick, so be sure to tune into our Picks of the Week. There are some cool happenings at the The Millibo Art Theatre (and apparently I use my new voice when I talk about them!)
