Colorado has every reason to be ambitious. Today the Governor’s Competitiveness Council released its roadmap for making Colorado the world’s most attractive innovation ecosystem, where every Coloradan shares in the prosperity it creates.

The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC was part of this work because the opportunity is real. Colorado has the talent, the research institutions, one of the nation’s deepest advanced-industries economies in aerospace, quantum, life sciences, and climate tech, and a quality of life few states can rival. The roadmap shows how to turn those strengths into growth again: six priority areas, 49 practical recommendations, built from seven statewide listening sessions and hard data.

Behind the lens of a major win for Colorado Springs. 📸

We’re thrilled to be welcoming Accu-Precision home to the Pikes Peak region. They expect to bring 123 net new jobs with an average wage of $73,032.74, plus $45 million in capital investment.

This moment wouldn’t have been possible without the collaboration of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, El Paso County, Colorado, and City of Colorado Springs, and we’re grateful for everyone who helped make this happen.

Congratulations to our very own Craig Carle, who is a finalist for the 2026 Mayor’s Young Leader Awards in the Community Impact category!

This category honors individuals who have measurably impacted the community through their contribution, involvement, or events. They show a tangible effect on the community outside of their normal business, including volunteer efforts, board service, and clear commitment to sustainable social responsibility.

Day two of the 2026 Discovery Trip, presented by Lockheed Martin, in Huntsville, Alabama, has been absolutely jam-packed. 🚀

The day began with breakfast, hosted by Urban Frontier, with Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle, who shared how Huntsville has become one of the fastest-growing cities in the South and where the Rocket City goes next.

Then, the delegation split into two tracks. One group went to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center — mission training, a guided docent tour, and the rocket that took Americans to the Moon, built right here in Huntsville. Thank you to Sigmatech and Dave Deist for sponsoring today's experience!

The second group went inside United Launch Alliance’s rocket factory in Decatur, where Vulcan and Atlas V rockets are built before launching national security and science missions, before a lunch-and-learn at Toyota Field with Madison Mayor Ranae Bartlett, hands-on lab activities at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, and a stop at Lockheed Martin.

Today we celebrated an exciting economic development win, officially welcoming Accu-Precision to Colorado Springs.

The project represents:
✅ 123 new jobs
✅ $73,032.74 average annual wage
✅ $45 million in capital investment

Accu-Precision produces custom parts, sheet metal and assemblies for customers in the aerospace and industrial sectors. As a result of substantial new contracts with an aerospace prime, the company plans to develop a new, 110,000-square-foot facility. Expansion in Colorado Springs will provide Accu-Precision with additional capacity to support its continued growth while strengthening Colorado’s advanced manufacturing and aerospace supply chain.

Projects like this don’t happen without partnership. Congratulations to the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, El Paso County, Colorado, the City of Colorado Springs, and everyone who helped bring this project across the finish line.
