Agricultural businesses are now eligible for SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and EIDL Advance programs. SBA’s EIDL portal has reopened as a result of funding authorized by Congress through the Paycheck Protection Program and Healthcare Enhancement Act. $350 billion has been allocated for this loan program. By our estimates, that should cover only 23% of all small businesses – This is a “first come, first serve” process and we’re advising all of our clients to submit their application as quickly as possible.
Terms of the loan:
• Up to the lesser of 2.5x payroll expenses (see below) or $10 million
• Interest rate of 1%
• 2-year term
• First payment deferred for 6 months
• No fees
• No personal guarantee, no collateral
• Most importantly, the SBA will forgive the portion of the loan proceeds that are used to cover the first eight weeks of payroll costs, rent, utilities, and mortgage interest.

Did you know that the CARES ACT, recently passed by the Federal Government, makes it hard for you to go out of business? They’ll actually keep you afloat with their new SBA backed Paycheck Protection Program.
Here’s what you need to know:
How much is available?
$349 billion for small business with less than 500 employees
What can I use it for?
Payroll. Use it to pay your employees and certain other expenses.
Why do you need it?
Employers who maintain their payroll and use loan funds for expenses like payroll, rent, and utilities for the first 8 weeks after the loan is issued, the loan amount is forgiven.
That’s right...
Forgiven.
