It is the week for photographing my nephews apparently! Yesterday I did some quick shots in my parent's front yard of my little 6 year old nephew, Jack. Since he is homeschooled he doesn't get yearly pictures so my sister asked me if I'd take some of him.

I think they turned out rather cute! (We didn't discover the chocolate on his teeth until I was editing the pictures on my large monitor....😂😂 that is SO Jack!) Isn't that what photographs are all about?? We want to remember our children, parents, pets, etc...during a specific time in their lives....even if it means they have chocolate on their teeth! 😉

I haven't been doing much professional photography lately, but my brother recently asked me if I would take pictures of my nephew's basketball club team and of course, I can't say no to anything that involves my nephew!

This was my first time using a green screen (although mine was actually a gray paper backdrop), but I had so much fun making these posters for my nephew and the team! What do you think?!?

10 years ago I got the chance to meet Amy and Vince through a man that I had met that was from Nashville. He set up the meeting and the chance for me to take pictures of them doing a benefit concert for Challenge America. A few months ago, I found out that I was going to be taking pictures for them again!! Since Amy Grant has been my favorite singer since I first heard her at the age of 13, these two moments in time were so special to me! My grammy, whom I loved dearly, was also a huge fan of Vince Gill, so I met him on her behalf! These 2 put on a dynamic show and they raised almost a million dollars for Challenge America, which is a fantastic organization. It was my honor and privilege to take these pictures.

I love taking pictures of newborn babies, but when you get to take them of your very own first grandchild, there is just something extra special about it! This is my first grandchild, Olivia Joy. I just love her so much, and I was so excited to get to do what I love to do, but with her!

Last weekend, I had the honor of taking family pictures of this amazingly beautiful family (I mean, look at HER! Anna is gorgeous!). I have known them for a few years, and my daughter babysits these darling little boys. I love, love, love how the Fall colors came out! And Anna picked some amazing clothes for them to wear.

And by the way....if you are looking to sell your house, or are looking to buy a new house, Walter is the man you want doing it! He is just the best!

This month has been the month for shooting family pictures!! I started the month by shooting my daughter's wedding, then another daughter's maternity portraits, and now my nephew, Jack's 1 year old portraits!! This little guy has a lot of personality, but I had to WORK for him to smile at the camera! Here are a few of my favorites....Enjoy!

It's not every day you get take maternity portraits for your own daughter, but I was able to do it this past week. To be able to capture this special time in their lives is such an honor for me. Ashley has always wanted a baby...ever since she got her first Cabbage Patch doll named Sean Wally! I have loved watching her grow from a tiny baby to a little girl to a teenager to a beautiful bride and now, a beautiful mommy! I can't wait to meet this tiny new baby!

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do it, but I did!! I took pictures at my middle daughter's wedding this weekend! I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull it off with all the emotion I was feeling, but I did!! Here is the first one (of many more!) of the beautiful bride, my Emily....
