As communities around the country and world respond to and cope with the impact of the outbreak, your friends at Pleasant River Solid Waste Disposal District want you to know that we are committed to supporting our neighbors, friends, and family, during this difficult time.
Governor Mills has clarified that waste management, recycling, and rubbish collection are essential community services and may remain open to serve their communities.
We will continue to operate during our normal business hours. In the event there are any changes to these hours or services, we will update you. We are committed to our communities and to ensuring the well-being, safety, and health of our clients, neighbors, and staff.
At this time, we are still open our normal operating hours and are continuing to work as diligently as possible after hours to process all incoming products.
However, in the interest of public healthy and safety, we ask that the following guidelines be adhered:
* If you or a loved-one are sick or exhibiting symptoms, please stay home and do not come directly to PRSWDD. If you are ill and require services or assistance, please contact us to discuss options available to you.
* Small & Large prepaid bags are available at the transfer station. If your local bag provider is closed or otherwise unavailable, or you have trouble obtaining bags, please contact us, directly.
* Our team is available to assist you when you visit PRSWDD. We do ask that all visitors please adhere to the CDC and/or local health authority precautions + guidelines when they visit our facility. We ask that all visits are kept to a minimum and as brief as possible, to ensure everyone's wellness.
* All standard operating procedures, safety protocols, policies, and best-practices remain in effect, unless otherwise directed or specified. Our team has been briefed/trained on precautions and guidelines to ensure their safety, and yours.
* Should you require special assistance, accommodations, need help or have any questions about PRSWDD, please contact us at 207-483-3844. In the event your needs are urgent and after-hours, please contact Tom B at 207-271-1969.
In an effort to continue supporting the Pleasant River communities, we will continue to monitor the situation and work with local governments, agencies, and authorities to ensure we can continue to provide services while maintaining and ensuring that health, safety, and compliance remains a top priority. We will post updates here and notify your local community government if there are any interruptions or modifications made to our services.
We are all part of the Downeast Maine community. We hope that you and your loved ones, and all of our neighbors, remain safe & healthy.
