Hey guys, it’s Erryn with another Everyday with Erryn!

As we close out August, we’re talking young adult mental health.

Trying to figure out your career, relationships, finances, friendships, who you are, AND what you’re doing with your life? Yeah…young adulthood can be a lot.🥴

Give yourself some grace while you figure it out. Check in with yourself, stay connected, and remember that asking for support is part of taking care of you.

And parents, keep checking in too. They may be grown, but your support still matters.

➡️ What’s one thing you’re learning about taking care of YOU in this season? Let us know in the comments.

Sometimes wellness looks like slowing down long enough to check in with yourself.🤍

During our recent Supervision Day, our clinicians created emotional boards that gave them space to pause, check in with themselves, and reflect on what this season has felt like.
It was an opportunity to create, process, and be honest about what they’ve been carrying, especially the things that can be easy to overlook when you’re constantly showing up for others.

At Everyday Wellness, we want wellness to be part of our culture, not just something we encourage our clients to pursue. Supervision is more than discussing cases. It’s an intentional space for connection, reflection, growth, and wellness, where our clinicians are encouraged to slow down, care for themselves, and make space for what they need too.

Sometimes we don’t realize how much we’ve been carrying until we give ourselves enough space to notice it.

⏰So here’s a reminder for you, too:

✅ Slow Down,
✅ Check in, and
✅ Give yourself permission to notice what you need.

When was the last time you really asked yourself, “How am I doing?”

Back-to-school season brings new routines, new experiences, and sometimes new emotional challenges for our children.📚

Justina Small, Justina Smalls, LPC of Everyday Wellness joined WIS-TV for Sunrise Sitdown to share a few important reminders for parents as we head into the new school year.

➡️ How do you create space for your child to tell you what’s really going on? And what should you pay attention to when they may not have the words to say, “I’m struggling”?

From starting meaningful conversations to recognizing changes that could signal an emotional or mental health challenge, Justina shares practical ways parents can stay connected and supportive.

➡️ Watch, save, and share this with a parent who could use a few practical tools for supporting their child this school year.

The first few weeks back to school can bring big feelings, tired mornings, and social hiccups as children adjust to new routines.

Kayona Merritt, LPC, Kayona Merritt reminds parents that if your child becomes extra irritable, avoids talking about school, or seems overwhelmed, those may be early signs they need a little extra support and routine.

Staying calm, curious, and connected helps kids settle into the new school year with confidence. Every child adjusts differently, and paying attention to small changes in mood, routines, and behavior can make a meaningful difference.

If these challenges continue or you’re unsure how to best support your child, Kayona is here to help. Reaching out early can provide your family with the tools and support needed to navigate the school year with confidence.

What has the transition back to school looked like for your family?
