Since 1967, Senior Resources has served Columbia's frail and elderly residents in three areas:
1) In-home services, including Meals on Wheels, home care, respite care, senior companion services, and case management;
2) Community-based services, including congregate meals, wellness centers, transportation, and physical fitness;
3) Volunteer services, including the Senior Companion program and Fost

er Grandparent program. Senior Resources offers a variety of programs so that our clients can select the assistance they need to maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle. With the support of our staff and volunteers, our services touch the lives of more than 4,000 Midlands residents.

A great day spent with our seniors!

We loved being part of this special event with CAFM, the SC Department on Aging, and Devoted Divas Home Health Care. Our seniors enjoyed chair aerobics, lunch, BINGO, exploring local vendors, and plenty of time to catch up and have fun!

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible and to CAFM for such a fun day for our seniors!

🐾 National Dog Day is a reminder that our four-legged companions provide so much more than companionship.

Did you know 83% of pet owners age 50 and older say their pets give them a sense of purpose, and 71% say their pets help them enjoy life? Yet, 31% say having a pet strains their budget.

For more than 20 years, Senior Resources has helped Meals on Wheels clients care for their beloved companions through our Pet Pals program, providing pet food so older adults never have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding the pets they love.

This National Dog Day, we're excited to introduce a new way to help keep pets and seniors together! 💙🐶

Last night, Senior Resources was recognized as the Hometown Hero, and we couldn’t think of a better representative than Jefferson!

Every school break, you can find Jefferson in the Meals on Wheels kitchen packing meals and out in the community . We are so proud of his dedication to serving seniors in our community.

Community impact starts with a willingness to lend a hand.

A special thank you to Duke Energy employees for welcoming us and volunteering their time to pack shelf-stables for the seniors we serve. Their time and teamwork demonstrate what can happen when local organizations come together in service to others.

These shelf-stables help provide older adults in our community with access to nutritious food when they need it most.

For 15 years, Michael has spent part of his day delivering Meals on Wheels. But if you ask him why he keeps coming back, it isn't just about the meals.

It's the conversations at the door. The familiar faces. The smiles that let him know he's made someone's day a little brighter.

Volunteering has given Michael the chance to make a difference, one visit at a time and our clients have made a difference in his life, too.

Thank you, Michael, for reminding us that making a difference doesn't have to be complicated, it just starts with showing up. 💙
