The man who always serves his community was served this huge win from the same community last night, and Surge is grateful to have helped lead the victory.

VICTORY ALERT - Michael Dennis is now the Mayor of Holly Hill, South Carolina. Despite an onslaught of attacks, Michael remained the man of integrity he is and defeated an incumbent to becoming the next Mayor.

Surge was grateful to guide the effort and looks forward to his servant leadership in office.

VICTORY ALERT - While we admit this victory alert is a bit different than most of ours, we do want to share a few major highlights of our work with Faith Wins this year.

The organization's mission is to educate, activate, and mobilize faith leaders, helping them leverage their influence and impact within the governmental and political arena. And was that goal accomplished this year!

Faith Wins led one of the largest national nonpartisan poll watcher recruitment programs and national nonpartisan voter registration initiative that enrolled millions of faith-based voters across the country including the key battleground states.

We are proud to serve as advisors to the organization and know the work of engaging Christians in the political arena must continue in earnest!

VICTORY ALERT – Surge Public Affairs started in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, and we are always excited to help elect great conservatives there. That’s why we are so excited to announce that Wilson Baggett for Auditor has won election as Berkeley County Auditor, Paul Brouthers for Dorchester County Coroner has won re-election as Dorchester County Coroner, Councilman Brantley Moody has won re-election as Charleston County Councilman, and Bill Hearn has won re-election as Dorchester County Councilman. While Assessor-Elect Baggett and Coroner Brouthers had their heavy lifts in the primary, Councilmen Moody and Hearn showed their strength in the general election.

Not only was he victim of defamation less than a month from Election Day, Councilman Moody also a challenged funded and supported by big money, liberal special interests. Despite the challenges, Councilman Moody put his experience delivering for the community where he grew up at the forefront of the campaign. From mail to video, digital to phones, and, of course, doors – our team never backed down and secured a 10% victory.

In Dorchester County, Councilman Hearn scored a resounding victory with over 70% of the vote.

Two hours to the north - in Sumter, South Carolina – another hard-fought victory was secured for Mayor David Merchant, who handily defeated three challengers with 58% of the vote. We are grateful to serve as Mayor Merchant’s general consultant and watch his leadership positively impact Sumter.

Another leader posed to make a positive impact on his community, Troy Haguewood secured a dominating victory in his election as Anderson County School Trustee.

We congratulate these incredible leaders and thank them for their trust in Surge Public Affairs!

VICTORY ALERT – Two longtime Surge Public Affairs clients scored the biggest margins of victory for countywide Republican candidates in recent history on Tuesday, as Solicitor Scarlett A. Wilson won re-election as the Lowcountry’s chief criminal prosecutor and Bobbi Jo O'Neal for Charleston County Coroner won re-election in Charleston County.

Both of these proven, experienced leaders fought hard from start to finish – fending off ridiculous, misleading attacks in the Solicitor’s race and an at least 10-to-1 spending deficit in the Coroner’s race. We are grateful to have served as General Consultant on both of these races and for the incredible teams we worked with to earn the hard-fought victories. Congratulations again!

VICTORY ALERT – There are new sheriffs in Town for both Charleston and Dorchester Counties!

Serving as the General Consultant for Charleston County Sheriff-Elect Carl Ritchie for Sheriff was an honor for the Surge Public Affairs Team. Outspent greatly in a large primary field and taking on the incumbent democrat in the general, Sheriff-Elect Ritchie remained focused, worked harder than anybody, and trusted in the campaign plan. His victory in a county that Obama, Clinton, Biden, and Harris won is a testament to his longtime service to the community, his work ethic, and his commitment to public safety.

Surge was also honored to play a part of the historic election of Sam Richardson for Sheriff of Dorchester County. With his 63% win on Tuesday, Sam becomes the first African-American Republican Sheriff in South Carolina history. Sheriff-Elect Richardson’s law enforcement career and his tenacious campaign team made our work producing video and products as easy as can be.

Congratulations, Sheriffs. South Carolina’s Lowcountry is lucky to have you keeping them safe.
