VICTORY ALERT – Surge Public Affairs started in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, and we are always excited to help elect great conservatives there. That’s why we are so excited to announce that Wilson Baggett for Auditor has won election as Berkeley County Auditor, Paul Brouthers for Dorchester County Coroner has won re-election as Dorchester County Coroner, Councilman Brantley Moody has won re-election as Charleston County Councilman, and Bill Hearn has won re-election as Dorchester County Councilman. While Assessor-Elect Baggett and Coroner Brouthers had their heavy lifts in the primary, Councilmen Moody and Hearn showed their strength in the general election.
Not only was he victim of defamation less than a month from Election Day, Councilman Moody also a challenged funded and supported by big money, liberal special interests. Despite the challenges, Councilman Moody put his experience delivering for the community where he grew up at the forefront of the campaign. From mail to video, digital to phones, and, of course, doors – our team never backed down and secured a 10% victory.
In Dorchester County, Councilman Hearn scored a resounding victory with over 70% of the vote.
Two hours to the north - in Sumter, South Carolina – another hard-fought victory was secured for Mayor David Merchant, who handily defeated three challengers with 58% of the vote. We are grateful to serve as Mayor Merchant’s general consultant and watch his leadership positively impact Sumter.
Another leader posed to make a positive impact on his community, Troy Haguewood secured a dominating victory in his election as Anderson County School Trustee.
We congratulate these incredible leaders and thank them for their trust in Surge Public Affairs!
