Blackhawk Performance Centers delivers another King Air 350 equipped with Garmin Autothrottle, Autoland, and the GWX 8000, but this delivery was a little different. As we all know, challenges can come up during an upgrade project. With some issues behind the scenes and working with Garmin on the issues, we discovered a couple units needed to be changed out, requiring overnighting hardware, installation, and new software loads to keep the aircraft on schedule.
Our team members Steve Kempker and Chandler Boshears worked late into the evening Friday and Saturday morning to make sure the aircraft was ready for test flight and customer departure as quickly as possible so the operator could complete an upcoming trip for the owner. At Blackhawk Performance Centers, we understand our customers’ expectations and do what it takes to keep aircraft moving. Although delivery was originally scheduled for Friday afternoon, our team stepped up to get the customer flying as soon as possible.
