Let's talk 👄

Over the last few months I've talked with a dozen Stylists who hesitate to put their content out there for all kinds of fears ..

All of them are valid and I want to hear your thoughts.

🤮Fear of sharing too much about themselves online

🤮Fear of not getting engagement

🤮Fear of the backlash of sharing their work

Now here's what I say ....

Hang on , you may feel triggered, engraged or have you hitting that block button.

But stop 🤚

By not posting you are ensuring that you hold yourself back 💯 from :

Connections
Lessons
Profits

We are the worst critics when it comes to our work ...

Others may see our growth , confidence and they may be thinking, " I should be posting too" .

They may reach out to make suggestions on your work and that's okay , it's a learning process and I freaking love getting a DM from someone who says , " You could get better footage if you place your camera ___" , or " I love your color placement but what if you styled it this way instead "

Bring on the suggestions, even the hate ... cuz that says more about you than me .

I've had people DM me to say , " Hey there's a misspelled word " or " You should put a comma there "

I love those too !

Your girl is busy and I sometimes overlook a period or ✌️and it shows that I'm not using AI for my content 😉

Be afraid and do it anyway ❤️ 🌟

Unpopular opinion...

I often use 10 vol while using Shades EQ and here's why ...

🌟 Guests are stretching appointments out longer and I want that color to last just as long .

🌟 I've found that as it's fading there is less underlying pigment revealed.

🌟 I've learned the rules so I can break them with intention.

Now that I've shared a secret with you , tell me yours !

As Salon Professionals we absorb so much bs that isn’t ours and we continue to pile on the stresses of our guests , not because they asked us but because the vast majority of us are empaths , you .4love for sharing that with us !

This year our group brought the energy!!

We worked on mindset , growth , lifestyle and giving ourselves grace to grow even more !

We have to forgive ourselves for what only time could teach us ❤️

Colorado , you were everything that I always need to regroup, reclaim and strengthen my confidence.

I learned soooo many lessons this trip !

1️⃣ Patience is truly a virtue. I was tested a handful of times that would have made the old me completely breakdown. This time I breathed through it , closed my eyes and asked for guidance and help from my team !

2️⃣ Grace , during those tests the old me would have made sure that things were PERFECT, making sure that NO ONE knew there were any hiccups, this time i leaned into the struggles, asked for help and trusted the team that I choose ❤️

3️⃣ When in pain let those tears fall !! At about 9,200 feet , while hiking up to Alberta Falls , Colorado I rolled my ankle between a couple rocks , fell to the ground hitting my other knee on a different rock and I thought it may have been broken by the amount pain that I was experiencing...

In that moment I tried to hold back the tears because I'm the leader and I felt like I needed to be strong and push through, but the emotions had something else in mind and the flood gates opened .

And my community came in and showed me so much love , grace and comfort. Kaz Hazell & Shelby Ayres taped up my ankle, Jennifer Briggs Reding performed reiki right there in Rocky Mountain National Park on a trail with the sound of the waterfall in the distance.

Everyone Amanda , Holly , Melissa , Addie & Ashley took turns walking with me so I didn't push too hard , they carried my pack and it was the best feeling knowing that they had my back !!

So I'm coming home a little bruised and swollen but with a full heart !!

Can't wait to continue this journey with them next year !

Unfiltered 2026 has come to a close and I can't even describe what I'm feeling entirely.

What I can tell you is fun was had , emotions were felt and we experience a group reiki session Courtesy of in the middle of

shared ways to fuel our body , helpful mindset shifts and recipes 👌

The weekend was full of growth, connections and loving on all the furry friends we came in contact with 🐿 🐕

Check back in a few days when we've all had time to process .

But until then ..... our 2027 Unfiltered event is live and we've added a few more spots but they will fill quickly!

You made it through! Now, as new talent joins our team, let’s welcome them with open arms.

Offer your support and ensure we have a structured system in place to help them have a smoother start.

I remember when I first entered the industry and I was welcomed with open arms , no trial and error , no just wing it ...

My first salon family was exactly what I needed it to be . And when I was ready for a change they made it hard to leave but understood why it was necessary for me ❤️

Together, we grow! 💇‍♂️✨

Unfiltered Colorado is not just a trip to the mountains , it's a transformative journey of self-discovery, reclaiming your power and strengthening your confidence to become more intentional, authentic and Unfiltered!

Today is our last day with our Unfiltered group and I can't wait for them to join us next year to continue the process and build lasting connections!

When Unfiltered was just a little idea , with brainstorming sessions , researching and lots of notes to compare what it should be , the biggest thing we wanted to include is feeling!

What do we want the attendees and presenters to feel 🤔

With the majestic views , beautiful animals and the incredible smell of mountain air , we wanted everyone to feel that there is more to life than the stress we carry ❤️

It's hard to stress when you are surrounded by Colorado’s natural beauty ✨️

While we work on healing parts of us that have been shoved down for so long the best place to do that is away from your own environment to be able to hear the message, feel the message and be surrounded by others that seek the same peace ✌️

New friendships are made when you make a way for you !

When you start showing up for you !

When you stop playing small to keep the peace 🌟

Here's why :

If we focus on consistently showing up in their feeds , with intentionally scheduling when our Intentional guests are active they will see you.

Focus on consistency not intensity.

You don't need to post MORE often throughout the day , you need ro find out when they are on and make your schedule reflect it .

They will see you !! Now it's time to start talking to them 👄 🦜 🗣

👄Solve their hair struggles

🦜 Tell them about the products they should be using based on what those struggles are

🗣 Let them know what you have available for them to come in ....

And they will come !!
