We are incredibly honored and thankful for the opportunity to attend the city council meeting this week. The City of Columbia presented us with a proclamation announcing the Junior League of Columbia 100 Acts of Service Week. Thank you to Mayor Rickenmann for this exciting opportunity! We were happy to have some of our members in attendance, including our president, Emily Bedenbaugh and city manager, Teresa Wilson, who presented the proclamation at our GMM yesterday!

Our final Shero feature of the League year is a special one- JLC President Rania Jamison! And it’s her BIRTHDAY!

Rania has served the JLC for nine active years while being actively engaged in the community, serving on boards such as the Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity Board, the Columbia Chamber’s Leadership Columbia Advisory Board, Richland Library’s Friends and Foundation Board, and the Talented Tenth. She’s also a public relations guru and entrepreneur, all while loving hard, especially on sons Lynard and Blaize, granddaughter Kamari, and husband Theron.
