After more than 44 years in the nonprofit sector — including 28 wonderful years with ccbozard consulting — I’m entering a new and more focused (and semi-retired!) chapter of my work.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving nonprofits in many roles: executive director, board member, consultant, facilitator, trainer, interim leader, and strategic planning partner. I’ve loved the work, the relationships, and the opportunity to support organizations doing important work in our communities.
As I look ahead, I’ve decided to narrow my focus to the area that has always been my greatest passion: nonprofit board governance. I truly believe strong governance and healthy board leadership are foundational to organizational effectiveness and mission impact.
Going forward, I’ll continue offering workshops, presentations, and coaching focused on helping boards and executive leaders strengthen governance practices, improve board effectiveness, and build strong board–staff partnerships.
I’m grateful to be able to scale back while still staying connected to work that feels meaningful, energizing, and purposeful. Most of all, I’m deeply thankful for the many organizations, colleagues, and friends who have been part of this journey over the years. I’m excited to see what this next chapter brings.
