Some how this got out of control

This hibiscus tree went through transfer shock. It dropped its leaves and looked dead. It almost went into the garbage bag. I'm glad I stuck it out.

I stuck some duck eggs into the incubator and failed. I apologized to the ducks I couldn't make any babies for them and then the other day Brett noticed one duck wasn't staying with the others.
It's beautiful when another female can say, I will help you❤

Duck eggs take about 28 days to hatch.

Sweet cicely is used to make medicine and grows amongst my daylilies. It's in the celery family and when cut it smells like anise. All parts are edible and tastes very surprisingly sweet.
Uses:
Congestion.

Digestion problems.

Urinary tract conditions.

Now is the time to experiment with Lilac's!

I had to do some massive trimming. I still have a bunch to do but in the mean time I am having fun trying new ways to use my Lilac's. So far I made a simple syrup, infused water and sugar.

I love how my house smells.❤ The vases are brought up at night so we'll sleep and wake up to a wonderful aromatherapy smell.

I was so excited to see how fast the Rhubarb has grown already. I was completely unprepared to make a pie. When did I use up all my flour🤷🏼‍♀️. So, instead I added some strawberries and made a simple syrup. A good syrup can make the difference in many beverages. It can make a dull ice tea taste like June. I add a splash Brett's favorite drink, just water & vinegar. My favorite at the moment is adding it to Hendrick's Midsummer Solstice gin with tonic water. As for the kids, they love it drizzled on icecream or yogurt.

This Rhubarb was left by Claire & Linda. There is a beautiful history to it but I don't want to tell the story wrong. Claire & Linda if you see this, or anyone can chime in, please tell the story of where it originally came from and how old it is. Thank you❤

I took a pause to walk around the yard to enjoy all the life that's starting to bloom here. My daffodils cross didn't bloom this Easter but one bloom is better than no bloom🤷🏼‍♀️ The forsythia bushes I rescued are doing well and one looks like a beautiful wispy tree. I rescued a lilac tree. Someone from the road crew pulled up and I grabbed it. I placed it into a pot and it is looking wonderful. I am not sure where I will plant it. Miss Magnolia tree, as Olivia likes to call her, is late to bloom and don't look well this year. She usually drops her blooms April 20th. The lamb ears are coming back along with the lemon balm and sage.

I can't wait to see what this year produces. I will attempt my sun flowers again but not where Brett can accidentally mow them down🙄😁
