SubCompression: breaking past where standard tools stop.

Every file compressor you’ve used — ZIP, 7-Zip, WinRAR — hits a wall on random or high-entropy data. It’s not a bug, it’s math: the Shannon limit means true randomness can’t be losslessly compressed below its original size. That’s why LZMA (the engine behind 7-Zip/WinRAR) gets a 1.0x ratio on random data — zero shrinkage possible.

Our SubCompression pipeline was benchmarked head-to-head against LZMA-9 on identical payloads:
• Random data: 68.27x vs LZMA’s 1.00x
• Text files: 66.49x vs LZMA’s 5.87x
• Mixed multimedia data: 67.58x vs LZMA’s 1.44x
• Near-constant data: tied at 248.24x — both hit the natural floor

For scale: MP3/AAC typically hit ~11-14x, MP4/H.264 video ~50x, JPEG ~15x — all lossy formats built for one specific data type. SubCompression is general-purpose and beats those ranges on arbitrary data.
The tradeoff is honest — this isn’t archival-grade lossless. It’s built for workloads where approximate reconstruction is fine: embeddings, telemetry, model checkpoints, cache transport.

Big models don’t have to mean big hardware.
We just validated our sparse MoE (Mixture of Experts) pipeline end-to-end on a real production LLM — and the numbers say something most “run big models cheap” claims don’t back up.

On the compression side: a 752M-parameter model went from a 3.0 GB FP32 checkpoint down to 1,446 MB using our tiered quantization pipeline — a 2.1x reduction with the compression itself completing in under 4 seconds after calibration.

But the bigger story is sparse activation. Traditional approaches load an entire large model into GPU memory before running a single token — for a 35B-parameter expert model, that’s roughly 69 GB of VRAM just to get started. Our agentic sparse activation architecture flips that: a small 0.8B model drives inference at full speed, and larger “expert” knowledge only gets pulled in on-demand, per-token, when the content actually needs it. Total GPU footprint: 4-5 GB.

That means 35B-class capability, accessible on a single consumer-tier GPU, without ever loading the full model into memory.
