Constant stress is exhausting, distracting, and bad for our health. The stress of the unknown, something we regret saying, or trying to cram too many obligations in too little time, all take their toll on us.

When we are not in the present moment, we cannot fully focus on the task at hand. Often when we get stressed, our work suffers from it. Worrying about the future or regretting the past achieves nothing.

Everything that was ever accomplished in the world was done so in the present moment. Here's six suggestions of how to reduce chronic stress, by mindfully being in the present.

When we finally stop running from the messy, imperfect present moment, we discover it's the only place where peace exists.

Life is a special occasion, don't wait!

On Christmas eve, eve I am thinking of my loved ones, all of them. I feel incredibly fortunate to have family by blood, marriage, and choice. I am grateful for them all.

The work we do, as important as it is, ultimately is so that we and our loved ones can live a good life. One that affords us our necessities, a week or two of vacation each year, and a little left over for savings and retirement.

Not everyone has what many would consider the minimum in life's pleasures. Everyone desires this. Connecting quality people is my passion! And that's for another post.
