Congratulations to Catalyst Architects, on receiving the 2026 AIA South Carolina People’s Choice Award for the Columbia Presbyterian Church renovation!

Hill Construction Company is proud to have served as the general contractor, bringing this incredible transformation to life. From the former location of Cogdill Carpets, to a beautiful new home for worship, fellowship, and community outreach, this project is one we’re especially proud to have been part of.

Congratulations to the Catalyst team on this well-deserved recognition! We’re grateful to have partnered with you on such a meaningful project.

🏗️ The Beauty of Renovations!

Sometimes a fresh look makes all the difference!

At Hill Construction, we love taking existing spaces and giving them new life. From structural improvements to complete exterior transformations, renovations are a great way to modernize a building while making the most of what’s already there.

Same building. Fresh look. New possibilities.

Great panel yesterday at the CREW Midlands luncheon!

The Midlands economy continues to be one of the fastest-growing in the state and is currently ranked high in population growth. It was interesting to hear how each area keeps up with the growth and other exciting projects in their city and town!

Panelists:
Luke Godbold, Director of Development Services for City of Cayce

BJ Unthank, Director of Economic Development for City of West Columbia

Jessica Lybrand, Director of Planning & Building for the Town of Lexington, SC

Ryan Coleman, Interim Director for the City of Columbia Government’s Office of Economic Development

And the marvelous Clarkson as the moderator!

We’ve been all over town lately, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

From economic development events and construction tours to golf tournaments and networking events, the past couple of weeks have been packed.

It’s always great to get out of the office, catch up with familiar faces, meet new people and stay connected to what’s happening across the Midlands.

Busy schedules, good conversations and lots of relationship-building! That’s a pretty good couple of weeks in our book.

Hill Construction is proud to be teaming up with Studio 2LR | Architecture + Interiors on a new Outdoor Welding Lab for Midlands Technical College-Airport Campus.

The project will create a hands-on training environment designed to support the next generation of skilled welders.

We’re proud to play a part in creating a space that helps prepare students for careers in the skilled trades.

We had the opportunity last week to get a sneak peek inside the new Courtyard by Marriott coming to Lexington’s Main Street during a tour hosted by CREW Midlands and sponsored by Trinity Partners and Mashburn Construction Company, Inc. the project’s general contractor.

This exciting addition to downtown Lexington is taking shape beautifully, with thoughtfully designed spaces for guests, events and social gatherings. It’s easy to see the attention to detail going into every part of the project.

We’re looking forward to seeing the finished hotel and the energy it will bring to Main Street and the Lexington community!

Hill Construction was proud to sponsor and participate in Tuesday’s Columbia NAWIC Chapter #113 ’s Golf Tournament Quixote Club in Sumter⛳️

It was a great day of golf, networking and connecting with others in our industry, all while supporting NAWIC and the important work they do for women in construction.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to support organizations that strengthen our industry and bring our construction community together.
