Here's a breakdown of the law in South Carolina regarding ex-felon voting rights:

🗳️ SC Voting Rights for Ex-Felons:

✅ In South Carolina, ex-felons CAN regain their right to vote.

Key points:
1. Voting rights are automatically restored upon completion of sentence, including probation and parole.

2. There's no waiting period after completing the sentence.

3. Ex-felons do NOT need to apply for restoration of voting rights.

4. They must re-register to vote after completing their sentence.

5. This applies to all felony convictions, regardless of the specific crime.

🚫 However, individuals currently serving a felony sentence (including probation or parole) cannot vote.

💡 Important:
- Ex-felons must meet all other voting eligibility requirements (e.g., US citizenship, SC residency, 18+ years old).
- They must register to vote like any other citizen.
