"If I don't have love, I am nothing."

That is a jarring truth from the Word of God. 1 Corinthians 13 is often shared on Valentine's Day as a fancy quote to define love or for some to make a caption. But it's deeper than that...

Love is a requirement. This 13th chapter on love essentially says it's nice that you're gifted, great you can see the future, awesome you're a huge giver & have big Faith, but you're NOTHING without love. Essentially every work and way is fruitless if you're not "loving God's Way."

As Believers, we're taught to master a lot and perfect what the Lord has given us, which is wise. Today, consider making sure the foundation is Godly love. Love God's Way is what we must first master in life.

What is Love God's Way?

I'll begin with what it's not.

*Love isn't "works" yet it's action.

*Love isn't scared nor dictated solely by the reciprocation of others because we love unto the Lord.

*Love isn't love but how it is Biblically described.

Love is God's Way.

As you love on spouses, family, friends, strangers and don't forget the foes; consider love not according to proscribed culture. Instead choose the way of the One that created and is love.

There is an old saying, History repeats itself when it is unlearned.

What have you learned from the History of love? Share in the comments. See a few of mine below.

#2. Past HIStory. Dare to love! Faith, Hope, and Love. The greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13). Many are hardened to loving fully, transparently or at all due to past history.

Relationships of variant kinds have created this heart condition. When Jesus was questioned on why divorces were allowed, His response was due to the hardening of their hearts. There was no mention of right or wrong, sin or no sin...just the state of the heart.

What is the lesson? Dare to love with the premise it is powerful enough to cover and protect you while simultaneously being given to others.

How? You have to love God's way. Contrary to popular opinion, there is a way to love.

Learn it.

Love corrects, love is consistent, giving, and is perpetual.

Love when done correctly will not only correct history, sometimes eliminate history but it can also rewrite History! Love God's Way will make it as though History no longer exist...

Happy February & LEAP month! I woke up with a sense of urgency this morning. Yes, we have 29 days this month. It's not about extra time but more terrain. The Father will enable us to cover more territory via His accelerated path. Obedience is the driver. Below is a snippet from the HERspace Blog, "The Accelerated Path." Link in the bio.

If you feel you do not know what you're supposed to be doing, start in the "direction" of what you believe this time is for you.

The Lord is pushing us now. I'll end where I began. The definition of LEAP is to jump or spring a long way, to a great height, or with great force.

The force in this definition is the Lord's push. This day, month, year...PUSH. He intends for us to cover great terrain for His purposes in the land. Do not try to figure all the details or big picture, just obey. It's going to cause acceleration to occur not only for you but also those you're connected to.

What have you heard but don't yet see? Those are promises that are yes and amen from the Lord. Go back and look again.

"Look again..."

Notice when the servant finally saw something, it was small but it was something. Don't discount the small somethings, look again. & when you do see, don't tarry. Run with the vision, it is sure to preform.

That finite cloud was enough to let Elijah know, it's time to run the Lord is up to something and He promised me.

This one is personal. Catch up on the two prior post for details. I'm releasing my first poem/spoken word work to introduce the Love God's Way Series.

We are diving into ALL relationships: intimate, familial, friendships, business, self, spiritual, enemies....the works. Through this journey, your love will be requited. I feel extremely vulnerable but hey it's out there now!

9/19...Today is the day!

For those who have seen my recent posts, I've hinted tremendously the past week. It's Release Day! But first a mini backstory...

In 2019, a friend asked me to not only write a poem but perform it in a room full of people for a poetry event in less than 24 hours. I'm still not sure why she asked me. Although I'm a writer, poetic...or spoken word are not my go to pieces. In fact, besides for a school assignment, I've never written any poetry until that day. But when she made the request, "yes" followed.

I only performed the piece one time four years ago & people ask me about it still. I know why. Two keys: vulnerability & they were able to see themselves.

So what is it? The Perfect Love Story for the ebony woman. The LIVE audio poem is being released today as an introduction to the book series, "Love God's Way."

In this series, we're going to talk about Love in all relationships & dynamics. Today, we're beginning with our first love. Whether or not you actually returned the love to Him.

"Requited." I kept hearing this word today. It means to respond to (love & affection) or return.
