Amanda L. Quick Coaching

Amanda L. Quick Coaching I bring a sense of calm to the chaotic lives of small biz owners so they can build their dreams rather than spin their wheels. Coaching is a team effort.

Intentional brain dump frameworks, personalized goal setting, & strategic action steps that are realistic for implementing. Small Business Coaching:

I strongly believe in community and knowing that when we help one another all ships will rise. I come alongside you and develop a plan of action to get you on your way. We do an overview of how you operate, where you are in your business, and where

you want to be. Then we break down that gap and create a step-by-step action plan to get you there. We’ll celebrate successes, work through struggles, bring in reinforcements via my network when needed, and have fun! Between my experience and my strategic partnerships, we’ll help you remove the duct tape that’s holding parts of your business together and replace it with a strong foundation and action plan. I’m not giving you all the answers and I’m not going to do it for you. What are some of the pain points my clients are dealing with?

- Lack of marketing plan and social media presence
- No systems in place to onboard employees
- Cash flow statement is not actually flowing
- Overwhelmed by all the to-do’s and don’t know what to work
- On the brink of burn out
- Frustrated by not knowing how to grow

“It’s Time To Ask For Help, But…”

Amanda here…I spoke with Callie about the growth of her business, and, well, you could say she keeps putting off answering me. So, (with her permission) I ask it in today’s episode.

Bare with long winded question as I was choosing my words carefully!

Key Takeaways:
* In order to truly grow, you have to ask yourself the tough questions
* Grow in a way that works for you, not because that may be what other people think you should do
* What does failure mean to you? And when you answer that question, ask yourself if it’s true or just a story you’re telling yourself

Thank you so much for listening to this one, and we hope it helps you take some time to really reflect on the stories you’re telling yourself. Are they true or not?

What are your thoughts on feedback? Do you have an experience where this was tricky, or you thought it would be tricky and it wasn’t? OR, do you have some feedback for us on this topic of feedback?!

It’s not systems or finances…

It’s the reason why.

In my opinion (so I’d love others thoughts!) I feel if you’re planning to scale your business you have to know why you’re scaling.

It can’t be because everyone else is.
It can’t be because it’ll solve your problems.
It can’t be because your business coach told you to.

You have to know why. The deep down reason, not the surface level.

Knowing that will help things start to fall into place.

What do you think?

It’s not about being right or wrong.

This week we had a submission around a topic that has felt necessary to talk about (in Amanda’s eyes!), so here goes:

“I find myself being hesitant to provide feedback. This could be to a direct report, a colleague, a client, a prospect, or a higher up.

Oftentimes I’m afraid of being direct because in my mind it might hurt feelings or that it will be offensive to the recipient, so I end up sugar coating it, tap dancing around the real issue, or just not responding at all….maybe I’m getting in my own way here and that my feedback could actually be very helpful and positive…

What is the best way to provide accurate feedback so that everyone on both sides feels good about it?”

This was interesting as we went two different ways and then back around, like normal!

Key Takeaways:
* As an expert, we have to be careful not to come across as “I’m telling you what to do.”
* Figure out our internal issues before going into a conversation is important
* Everyone is really trying their best

What are your thoughts on feedback? Do you have an experience where this was tricky, or you thought it would be tricky and it wasn’t? OR, do you have some feedback for us on this topic of feedback?!

Networking convo on the 🎙️ this week!

We know there’s a gray area, but a lot of times it seems like it’s black and white. You either like it or not.

This week’s question was, “Networking for introverts or for those whose work drains all of their social energy. Is one’s network really as powerful as biz influencers say? How to make the small connections when you’re drained out.”

If you haven’t noticed, Callie is an introvert, and Amanda is an extrovert. Which was fun to talk about these answers from both perspectives.

Key Takeaways:
- More is not always better because those close relationships are so powerful
- For those who need to recharge more often, find the time to do it…even just 10 minutes
- Confidence is a big part of this…you have to be confident to ask for what you need!

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic and if you’re coming from the lens of an extrovert or introvert!

Think of this as Part 2 of Episode 11!

As we continue the conversation about marketing and branding and how they play into building a growing business. But, the kicker of this one is…

Self Awareness.

How many times a day do we do things because it’s just what we’ve always done, or it’s how we’ve seen other people do it? We didn’t actually count, but it’s a s**t ton. And because of that, there’s been a sense of vanilla in the world. Samesies as the cool kids would say (or maybe they don’t anymore?).

Today, we’re talking about how being self-aware helps you make decisions that will truly shape the business you’re looking to build.

Key Takeaways:
* In a world of vanilla, it’s not hard to stand out and be authentically you
* Finding balance in work and life is incredibly important to be aware of
* As long as you’re a solid person doing good things in the world, say the things you feel you need to say…even if they’re hard

Imposter Syndrome…us? Never!

A friend suggested we cover the topic, “Imposter Freaking Syndrome”

Of course we have thoughts on this because too often it creeps right on in.

In todays episode we talk about our inner thoughts like:

- who are we to even start and run a business?!
- Are people judging our decisions, or are they simply mirroring back their own s**t?
- And, Callie shares a powerful statement about what would happen if you let someone stop you from doing something…what would that do to your journey?

We hope this brings you some positive thoughts around who you are and what you’re here to do because…nobody else actually cares as much as we think!

Episode 1 is here 🎙️

Are you surprised it’s about selling as a business owner?!

Well, it is!

Callie and I talk about how sales feel as a customer, if as business owners we’re selling the right thing to the wrong person, and how we just may overcomplicate things.

Shout out to for help with some gold nuggets of advice!

You can find us on Apple Podcast or Spotify (link in bio!) and hope you enjoy - thanks for listening!

It made me rollllll my eyes.

“It gets to be easy.” 🤢

What I’ve found is that I struggle with this phrase because on what planet does easy = I’m worthy of easy?

Well, friends. Just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it’s not worthy.

Just because it’s easy doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get paid for it.

Just because it’s easy doesn’t mean everyone else can do it.

Maybe it’s simply your gift.

It can still be hard at times. But it’s a hard that fires you up. Not a hard that runs you ragged.

Have you heard this phrase, “it gets to be easy”? If so, how does it land for you?

PS: I think you’re worth it to find what comes easy 💕

06/10/2025

Sloooooow it down, just for a second!

Quick on my feet, buuuuut did I really need to be?

Ellie‘s birthday fell on a Monday this summer, and she wanted to take treats to summer school. To avoid allergies, the treat was simple: fresh fruit and coconut whipped topping.

Since her birthday was Monday, we celebrated on Sunday, which means we prepped on Saturday. As we were shopping on Saturday, I thought about getting the fruit for Monday, but I didn’t feel the fruit had been lasting very long, so we didn’t want to risk it being squishy.

But, since we had her party on Sunday, guess who didn’t make it back to the store on Sunday… Me.

On Monday, Sean took Ellie to breakfast, and I took Gracie to swimming lessons and then dropped Gracie off at school.

Next step: Birthday treat.

As I drove to the store, I thought through my plan and was excited to realize that I could think quickly on my feet and complete a project on the fly.

But then, the ex*****on began…

I headed to the third store of the morning (coconut whipped cream is not as common as I expected), and the perspective of “thinking on my feet” became clear: this was unfolding a bit differently than I had anticipated 🫣

As I was picking out the fruit, I knew I needed a bowl to put it in (we have bowls at home). And if I’m getting strawberries, it would be best to cut them up for the kids (we have knives at home). And if I were going to put these in a container, I needed to have containers (we didn’t have little individual ones, so this was helpful). And since I’d be touching the fruit, I'd need some gloves (which we also have at home).

I then parked at Stephens Park, popped the back hatch, and set up shop.

Three stores and $65 later, we have a successful birthday treat to drop off.

Now, how does this transfer into business?

Proactive vs. Reactive.

I’m not saying you’ll be able to avoid any “quick on your feet moments”, but we can do ourselves a favor and plan ahead.

For a recent client, she wanted to be more proactive with posting on social media. She knew her content and loved doing it, but some days, it felt overwhelming to know what to post.

Together, we zoomed out for the year. We listed out each month of the year. We then filled in the big events or seasonal things that she’d be posting about. She could then take these and put them into the content pillars she had created:

January:
- Clean eating resets
- Catering
- Healthy Focus
- Events: TBD
- Smoothie Special

February:
- Valentines day
- Events: TBD
- Smoothie Special

March:
- Spring feature
- Smoothie Special

By mapping out the whole year, she could take some time to batch-create content, or if she was in a pinch, she could refer to this list, which would at least help her brain narrow down on an idea.

I did this with another client to help him map out his calendar for availability as he had certain times of the year when he was going to be slammed and, therefore, needed to block off time on his calendar and then make sure to prep projects with ample time.

It’s slowing down to then go fast, which can be tough for many small business owners! But trust me when I say it could save you time, money, and frustration!

If slowing down scares you and you'd like help, that's my jam and perfect for a Strategic Session!
