RIP to a great brother and fellow alumnis Mike Newsome At its inception, Grown By Me, LLC. desired to equip HBCU’s in general, and Virginia Union University in particular with the technology and instruction to grow their own organic produce on campus via aquaponic & hydroponic organic food production.

Bro. Newsome was INSTRUMENTAL in making key introductions to the Dean of the School of Business, science department chair and other key university administrators. I will forever be indebted and grateful for his willingness to sit down, take my calls, give sound advice & strategy and most importantly opening up his contacts & connections. I remain confident that the vision WILL come to pass!
