Sometimes, we’re praying for the result while God is preparing us for the opportunity.

This weekend, I was reminded of something so simple: pray, prepare, show up, and trust God with the outcome.

Recently, my girls had a spelling competition. They studied, practised, broke the words down, and yes, we prayed. 🙏🏽

They both came tops in their categories, and seeing their excitement was beautiful. But what touched me even more was hearing them thank God for helping them.

It made me think about life.

Sometimes we’re praying for a business breakthrough, a new opportunity, financial growth, or a better season.

But while we’re praying, are we also preparing?

Are we learning?
Are we building the skill?
Are we taking the necessary steps?
Are we positioning ourselves for the answer we’re asking God for?

Faith doesn’t mean sitting still.

We pray. We prepare. We take action. And we trust God with the rest. 🙏🏽

As you enjoy your weekend, ask yourself:

“What am I praying for that I can start preparing for today?”

May God find us ready for the very things we’ve been praying for.
