One of the most common things we hear during DE&I conversations is…

that many of those who do want to become more of an ally, have some anxiety over “saying the wrong thing”. Meaning, using a term or phrasing that would be considered offensive. Essentially, they don’t want to risk being labeled and/or “cancelled”. So that fear deters the opportunity for change.

Our approach is to always establish ground rules for a discussion ahead of time and to foster a psychologically safe space.

Healthy disagreements and discussions lead to growth. The keys are open-mindedness and humility.
