What’s next for DA? Let’s take a second and address the future of our involvement in Ukraine and on a new front at home.

“Will DA continue to support Ukraine?”
- Unequivocally, yes. Although DA shoes are stepping off Ukrainian soil, we will continue to monitor our established training cadres and programs throughout Ukraine. Great care, effort, and time was taken standing up native Ukrainian instructors to do the job. They were cultivated meticulously and reviewed critically, and we trust them to continue the mission without failure. We will be in communication with our networks to provide feedback, support, and logistics whenever possible.

“Will you return to Ukraine?”
- Ukraine is like no other place on earth. It has the the ability to ease you in to something that feels close to home, like you were always here or at least meant to be here. For more reasons than one, we will be present in Ukraine again. We can’t say when, or why, but we’re not done here.

“Plans for home?”
- The US is most definitely home, one that is in its own unique era of turmoil and in need of its own type of support. Coming from a police background, one of the most difficult things was watching the fractures and struggles within American law enforcement. DA pledges to be a part of the solution and to provide training both tactically and in mindset to support our officers in these uncertain times. We plan to show them the same levels of love, support, and commitment we’ve shown our Ukrainian family.

“Will you miss Ukraine?”
- After the better part of two years in a foreign country, making friends, brothers, and life long bonds, the answer is yes. Stay strong, we’re with you until victory and beyond.

After a recent training course conducted with .camp , Dynamic’s DA1, suffered a serious medical emergency (not training related) and life and limb was saved by the professional and decisive actions of Backyard Camp personnel.

This very unfortunate and unforeseen setback will close operations for the time being in Ukraine as we have a long road to physical recovery following surgical procedures.

“After almost a year and half of training Ukrainian military, police, and civilians in multiple disciplines, as well as working alongside our Ukrainian family to further and improve training options, I’ll be returning home to rehabilitate and restart a life left behind.

I want to thank my Ukrainian friends and family from Backyard for all the love, respect, and partnership during my time in Ukraine. I will dearly miss all of you and cherish our time together for as long as I live.”

All medical costs were covered by a collective group of all the students DA1 has worked with since the war began, and is a testament to the brotherhood and bonds created between foreign volunteers and Ukrainians.

“Ukraine will continue to be a part of me forever, and I will always do what’s within my power to effect change and positive outcomes in the country for servicemen and women, and patriots alike.”

Our deepest thanks for everyone who participated in DA1’s recovery, all those who made visits and brought gifts and mementos.

Class B623

TOR, Ukrainian police special operations finished their examination for the Dynamic close quarters program with exemplary performance. Additionally, B623 participated in live fire exercises to supplement some of the curriculum’s methodologies.

As with all the UA police special operators, these officers were ideal students who exude professionalism and give maximum effort at all times. An absolute pleasure and privilege to train with them.

Alpha 623 marks the fifth class rotated through DA’s 50 hour close quarters operator course and congratulations to all of you.

This unique group of Ukrainian military police was an incredible opportunity for us as cadre. Their mission-set is diverse and extreme and with that they brought expertise and feedback that will influence the program going forward.

This particular course from start to finish was a collaborative effort between DA and participants in our instructor pipeline. The entire team, including our translator, is pictured here.

Thank you, to all of you, for making this training what it is.

We have been so enormously fortunate to work with some of the best and most unique military and police units that Ukraine has to offer.

They have been diverse not only in their tactics and mission sets but in equipment and systems. It’s been very informative for us to explore the capabilities on Ukraines operational extremes.

The “not often seen” but critical component of the team, DA2 during recent stateside training. As we continue to to exchange our positions in Ukraine with our Ukrainian counterparts, we constantly prepare and invest in our future endeavors at home.

See you soon.

Adapted curriculum based on first hand accounts.

When we talk about the information we transfer to the students, that means eliminating the guess work. Nothing in the syllabus is our “best guess”, it is a thoroughly fleshed out addition conceived by a cooperative think tank.

An example of this is a man made interior fighting positions or it’s more pleasant identifier, the “murder hole”. Many of our soldier have recounted seeing these constructions used against them to varying levels of lethality during CQB operations. Thus, we began to include sections of instruction to navigate and engage these positions based on procedure, planning, and environmental awareness.

Charlie 523.

This group marks the third class completing the close quarters operators course in June and the second class working with Ukrainian police special operations “TAC TEAM”.

Losing 8 participants from a separate unit due to operational duties, these 4 Tac Team operators worked harder, longer, and performed more advanced tactics than any class before them.

Small, but mighty, our 4 officers worked on advanced close quarters tactics including subject control, causality treatment and evacuation, and enemy POW, all on top of the traditional 50 hour syllabus.

Congratulations are due to all of you for your efforts. Also, very proud to admit that Ukrainian instructors from our programs assisted us side by side for the entire course.

“Don’t shake your baby.”

Hands on with the Ukrainian Малюк “baby”, the AK bullpup mutant that’s more innovative than you think. It’s construction is an example of the innate ability for our Ukrainian friends to adapt and invent.

Class B523

DACQO 5 day, block 1 with Ukrainian Police Special Operations Tactical Team and ТОР. This was an incredible opportunity to work alongside our literal Ukrainian counterparts as they underwent training rooted in American SWAT doctrine.

The professionalism and dedication displayed by this small group of operators was a privilege to witness.

We’ve seen an immensely diverse roster of trainees over the last year providing training in Ukraine but B523 was personal, sentimental, and an experience that will live on with us.

Cops training cops across a 5000 mile divide of knowledge.
