What a great turnout for Columbus vs The World this week. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this another fantastic event for AREAA Columbus!

A big thank you to our speakers Deb Scherer with One Columbus and Kristi Daniel for sharing valuable insights on the economic momentum shaping Columbus and Central Ohio.
The discussion highlighted how Columbus continues to demonstrate strong economic fundamentals, diversified growth, and increasing international investment interest. At the same time, there was great conversation around the importance of addressing transportation, housing affordability, and cultural amenities to sustain and accelerate future prosperity in our region.

Point 1: Language Access - One of the most prominent barriers for AANHPI homeownership.
Bill: H.R. 7233 Language Access for All Act

Point 2: Housing Supply - Support bipartisan legislation to tackle the housing crisis, while including crucial changes like appraisal reform.
Bills: S. 2651 / H.R. 6644 ROAD to Housing / Housing for the 21st Century Act.

Point 3: Maintaining Access to Homeownership for AANHPIs: Guarding against any legal or legislative barriers that specifically prohibit AANHPIs from having full housing access.
Bills: H.R. 7053 Preemption of Real Property Discrimination
