The Sertoma Club had a vision 📸 pic 1. With the amazing help of the Seekers of Serenity crew, we removed the old plants and replanted bulbs at their campus. The beautiful new plants were generously donated by a wonderful supporter, and today we finished installing them. We’re excited to watch everything flourish in the coming weeks! 🌱

A huge Thank You to Ace Sanitation they came on their day off to haul away all the litter collected and picked up the tab.
Litter is a problem for our entire community simple things we can do together reduce litter
-tie your garbage bags
-secure your trash can lids
-keep a grocery sack in your vehicle
-if you see a piece of litter pick it up and dispose of it properly there are receptacles everywhere

From now until July 3, 2026, Keep America Beautiful has a nationwide goal of removing 25 billion pieces of litter all across America.

I personally took the pledge to join the Greatest American Cleanup to help create a cleaner, greener community. On April 1st, I promised to pick up 250 pieces of litter a day for the entire month while documenting my progress for all area residents to see.

Now I need you to take the pledge with me.

I believe by working together, we can make our community more beautiful in time for America's 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.

The final day of my 250 pieces of litter pickup! I had a special guest Mayor Jim Bulkley. He found a wallet however it was totally empty. These rims however if you want them I will have them until 8am tomorrow.

Day 28 and 29 combined of the 250 pieces of litter pickup! There was another rain delay yesterday so we were back at it today on 33rd Ave. Not all litter is big, as shown in the pictures.
Someone was definitely not happy with their Taco Bell. They left almost all their food in the bag. 🙃
And if you are missing your eye lash curler. I still got it!

Day 25 and 26 combined as we had a weather delay similar to Lincoln last night. 😉Our litter pickup was on the Eastside of town. My helper was feeling awfully fabulous and brave as she touched her first snake. We did leave this giant plastic piece as they created a home under it for the time being.
Unfortunately another critter was found however this kitty was deceased and placed in a bag for how long, who knows. 🫤 We agreed that he should be buried so we took the cat out of the bag so it could at least decompose on soil.
